Tried to Google it, and translating a german site it appears to be something along the lines of one is Software version (the 3), the big number the  number of impulses received by the counter miles daily ?? (differs on wheel size apparently !) and who knows what the 33 is !!!  There is a change that Google Translate is making it up !!!

Hummmmmmm  ???

I am curious now  :)

You appear to be stuck in the year 2006 !!  Not been pressing the "Tm" Time Machine button  ;)

Omega General Help / Strange values on Central Info Display !!!
« on: 30 August 2014, 18:26:41 »
Hi all,

I was trying to clear the "Check" on the central display (Washer bottle empty !!) and found if pressed both buttons in for a few seconds the following was displayed in the top section.

What on earth does it mean ?  Miles left till it explodes  :D  Never seen this display before  ???

"Check" was still there dispite full washer bottle  >:(  (new switch ordered and connected shorted out for now to clear the "Check"  ;)
Damned washer bottle sensor has always been "iffy" since I have had the car from new.  Always seemed to tell me "Washer Fluid" just as the last dribble comes out and the wipers scrape accros a now dry windscreen  >:( >:( >:(

Hi,

Just been to Nigel Langs and A/C now ICE COLD :y (Just ready for the winter  :D)

We replaced the High Pressure valve (courtesy of the much valued guide on here  :y ) as this I believed was why the pressure was lost since vac out and re-gas a few months ago (I even saw bubbles when cap undone)  NO leaks elsewhere when coupled to the A/C test kit.

It was noticed however that the Low Pressure valve (one by the bulkhead at back of engine bay on the top) did have a "small" bubble when all regas pipes removed.

I am hoping that the valve cap maybe enough just to stop any small release (may have a chance as its on the Low Pressure side ?)

However, as a preemptive strike does anybody know the Part number for the Low Pressure valve ????

I believe it is a difference part to the HP Valve with the LP (Low Pressure) one more of a "Car Valve" arrangement with what appears the only bit to change the valve core in the middle ???? (like on car Schrader valve).

Thanks in advance.
Andy.

P.S
Just done my first Omega glove box handle replacement - what a faff !!! :o (now enjoying working glovebox  :D)

Remove the power sounder. Do it now before it bursts into flames and destroys your car.......

Now I am concerned  :-\

My Power Sounder is fine ( I think  :-\ as its not made a single chirp since I have had my Omega - and I have had my Mini Facelift V6 from New  :D)

Should I remove it  :-\ or simply leave well alone  ???

Omega General Help / Re: Top bloke!
« on: 24 August 2014, 17:31:55 »
I'd have to say, he does know his way around an Omega engine bay.

Daz has sorted my Omega out on a couple of occasions (Oil Cooler, Spark Plugs (still had original GM ones in at 56k mls  :D !!!), Cambelt change and recently 2 new front Wishbones) and I can't fault.

Neat and carefull work, and routed all pipes neatly where they SHOULD be (Not where the VX Dealer last left them !!).  I didn't know a car could have that many tubes, bits and leads !! and they all went back  :y

Top Omega Chap :y

I have always left Climate control on - Eco button almost never used  :y

I'll perhaps give Langs a bell and see what they can do.

It was Ice Cold when it left  :y

Are Condensers expensive ? and where best to get bits from if I need them ? :(

839
Humm, tried reset and no different :'(

Tried all vents for cool air and no different and no condensation on garage floor  :(

Compressor is spinning.

Supposedly its not got leak !, but it perhaps may which was not picked up, or leaky when tested ?

Any suspects ?

Anybody know any A/C Specialists in the Wirral / Chester area ? :-\ (Save me a trip to Bolton to garage I got it done  ???)

Hi,

In had my a/c vacuumed out, refilled (950 GM's) and was running great.

I was informed that there were no leaks when it was tested (1st regas in 14 years as had car from new  :D) so I was initially chuffed.

It's been a months or two now and it is definitely not chilling.

A/C compressor is turning but there is what can only be described as a "wheeeze" like sound from behind the front middle face vents.

I also notice that there is definite lack of water / puddle on floor from compressor I.e NONE.

Any thoughts ?

I had all done a Nigel Lang's when I had geo set up so I may give them a try again as I was otherwise happy with them.

Hummmmmmmm. :'(
