I would echo the above. Ive been here most of the time since about a year after the forum started. Had many many laughs (particularly in the earlier days), took things to heart and too seriously at times and got into silly arguments that should never have happened, would definitely take back quite a few things Ive said, spat my dummy and left then came back, but for almost all of the time have thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a hell of a lot about cars and many other things.
I still think we could have an anonymous funding setup of some sort.
Still the best car forum out there.
I've meant everything I've said, Paddy  ;D

Roads around here have finally gone quiet. Not quite as quiet as first lockdown, but not far off.
Hopefully its a sign that people are taking it seriously at last.  ::)
You must live in a rural area, fickin madness here because all manufacturing is open.

+68,053 confirmed new cases and 1,325 recorded deaths
another record
maybe not everyone followed the lockdown rules at Christmas and new year's eve  :P

Figures due to Xmas gatherings will show in around 10 days time according to what was being discussed by medical experts last night.
Figures for this 'lockdown' should be interesting.

Sounds to me that it's you that don't understand Democracy.  ::)

There is no single correct interpretation of "Democracy", and conflating the systems between any two countries is at best unwise, and at worst extremely  foolish. The dictionary definition is "a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives" .

The UK has a Parliamentary democracy under which Parliament is sovereign, not the People. The Democratic Republic of Korea has something a bit different, and the USA is different again.
That may be so but the results of the 2019 General Election shows were ultimate democracy lies  . And quite rightly so .

The result of EVERY UK election shows where democracy lies - in Parliament. Only Parliament decides when a vote will be. Only Parliament decides who can vote. Under 18's can't and nor can prisoners. It wasn't long ago that under 21's couldn't vote, and before that Women couldn't, and before that only the landed gentry could vote. In the UK Parliament decides the rules, not the people.

Which is exactly how a representative democracy is supposed to work. The elected representative is supposed to vote according to their manifesto, but they don't have to.
Translation: Politicians are lying bastards who will say anything to get elected.

I bought This for the French PoS, and had the locking ring off in seconds.  Probably not the best of the best, but without it, I stood no chance.  I snapped off a couple of vertical tangs trying it with a blunt chisel.

For the really tight out there, you could Amazon it, use it and return citing poor quality (hardly a lie when talking about most Amazon tools).

I'm sure Mr bezos would be good for it  ;D  :-X
Amazon aren't taking any returns until Jeff is the richest man in the world again. Elon Musk has taken that mantle from him, though fick knows how. Tesla's shares have rocketed but, in my opinion, are as volatile as Bitcoin (which climbed to over $40,000 yesterday, from $30,000 last week). One fallout with the Chinese and Musk will be visiting a food bank.

i notice that the UK are now showing "recovered cases" ,previously it stated N/A  stats
N/A would be better ,as no one knows if you ever "recover"  ::)

Quote your first post, you've split the link with the word 'here's'

Nope. Still works for me.  ::)

Never mind it might be a bit too much for you at your age anyway, so it's probably best you stick to the BBC!  :P  ;D

Are you suggesting your great uncle is 'past it' :)
Fixed your corsa yet, Mechanical Mick?  ;D
