Omega General Help / What nuts to use
« on: 28 October 2010, 21:33:54 »
Evening people
Just a quick question, does anyone know what type of nuts that are used on the omega, are they metric fine or course thread nylocks, i have some blue nylocks which were ok to use on front suspenion parts. possible because they were not directly vauxhall parts but to replace the idlea the nuts seem to be different and had to replace with the old ones for time being, don't like doing this, each nut of this type should be replaced
Can anybody shed some light on this, are they available from say screw fix or whoever   :) :)

Morning guys
I have a 1998 omega 25 v6 as fitted with the servotronic steering as every 25 and 30 lites has, it helps you park and handles at speed, well i have a problem the car will not steer to the left, you have to pull it to get their, ok right, checked all the bits underneath, supension etc, fine, checked that bloody fuse, in fact change it as well, fine, now then im told that their is a modulater somewhere under the dash ???? that controls this  :-/
As anyone see one or change one or has one for sale along with a rear bumper skin in polar sea blue for a preface lift estate as used on the old style elites  :y
            Cheers guys  :y :y

Omega General Help / Re: Camber Tools
« on: 17 July 2010, 09:50:55 »
 Hi
I would not bother with these, just have the front wheel aligment checked after, i have the track rite camber gauge which is good, i used when i replaced the front struts as you lose the settings, ok to get the setting about right, you need to make sure you have the right gauge as i believe their are two different types, then you MUST have the whole wheel aligement checked by a system called the HUNTER system, have a look on here with a company called wheels in motion.  :) :)

Hi guys
Has anyone tryed to repair the emission pump, the one under the front bumper which sounds like a hoover when you start up.
Mines been noisey for some time just would like to know more about the internals, i know it helps the cats to warm up quicker so aids fuel consumption, ok some say disconnect it but is this not needed and what affect would this do long term.  :) :)
