Concentrated Acetic acid on the end of your tallywacker, if enough ask I will explain!

+2 + 1+ 2 + 3

= Den, Me + Swmbo + two Grandkids + 3 dogs! Were all waiting with bated breath  :D ;D ;D

Ditto, although I have a suspicion I'll regret asking.. ;D

As for pain - standing on a lego brick in bare feet. ;D

Although I think having my fingers mashed down onto an exhaust stud by a friend with a lump hammer at full tilt was worse.

Well seeing as you asked, I shall set the scene..

At the age of 15 I started to suffer some weird blackout episodes. Medical investigation ensued which resulted in all sorts of weird tests such as brain scans for epilepsy, tumours etc .Part of the tests were some urine tests and I was provided with the relevant containers and was told to collect my first tinkle of the day in a small(ish) one . Cue me at 6 am walking into the bathroom as a bleary eyed, post pubic, semi conscious effort of a human, having been on the lash the night before. Oh sh*t I thinks halfway through and grabs the upside down container from the shelf, now how shall I stop myself pissing on my hand, thats right, jam my helmet in the top of the pot .....SADLY NOT HAVING NOTICED THE SKULL AND CROSSBONES ON THE POT!!!! Concentrated acetic acid, corrosive, do not allow contact with skin :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o.

I shit you not, the pain was like nothing I have ever, and will ever, feel again , sod lego bricks or plugs in bare feet, childbirth and stubbing your bleedin toe, this was neanderthal shit. I looked down to see my sausage literally melting, and I mean popping, spitting and smoking, the whole acid horror film nightmare scenario unfolded before my very eyes but the worst bit was..............as a youth, what word will you scream without fail at any desperate moment.................that's right............. "MUUUUUUUMMMMM"

The mental scars took longer than the physical ones to heal!!!
Think that will take some beating!  ;D :y How embarrassing!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sad but yes I am watching the X Factor results, fes up, you must be too if you understood the subject matter... :D :D :D

yes you are mate i'm afraid.

just another truck load of attitudes that can't sing let alone play an instrument. theyre all pathetic imo

I haven’t really seen any of this years X Factor, however to say they 'cant sing' and 'all pathetic'? Have to disagree.

Yes there will be a load of crap - people thinking they are gods gift, yet cant sing to save their life etc.... but filter out the crud, and you will be left with some talented individuals, who can go on to make a living in the music industry - should they choose too.

Hello and welcome.

Like others have 'guessed', I too assume 'gasilet roulel cover' = gasket - rocker cover?

If so, not too bad a job to do providing your happy working under the bonnet, otherwise, best left for a garage.  :y

Omega General Help / Re: Front tow ball
« on: 10 October 2011, 23:50:17 »
that sounds a good idea lateral thinking i believe

the towing eye is on the driver's side though, if you're having an offset front tow ball you need it in the middle or towards the passenger side so you can see down the side of the caravan as you're pushing it.  ;)

Easy  :D  (if its an auto)...

Sit in passenger seat! Reach across to steering wheel, lean over & press the brake pedal to release the gear selector and then Just use 'D' 'N' and 'R' on the gearbox... and once done... 'P'!  8) 8) 8)

If your on a slight gradient this may only work when you first start the car in the morning and its running on choke / high idle speed!  ::) :P  :-X

 ;) ;) ;) it'd all end in tears!  ;D ;D ;D

Ah sorry forgot about that... where’s the edit button gone  ;)

** Lift the leather cover round the gear stick and press the emergency release button down, at the same time as selecting 'D' **

There we go Andy... better  ;D

Dont supose anyone knows if these sims would work in an O2 usb dongle?
For Dongle use, wait another couple of weeks, they are releasing a bundle for dongle use (the current GoodyBag may have unlimited internet, but is prohibited for tethering/dongle use).

But yes, as GiffGaff runs on the O2 network (its actually owned by Telefonica, who own O2), at a technical level, it would work in an O2 dongle *IF* you are able to put in the correct APN etc.

Ah brill! Well depending on prices I maybe tempted...

Had the O2 dongle a couple of years, and only used it twice IIRC - hence its been cut off (PAYG).

However if they offer a reasonable £X.XX per month (even just a couple GB allowance) I would go for it, would allow me to get the car PC working as I intended then too!  ;D :y

Will wait and see... ::)

I went the first time because the tyres were wearing,,,,,,, bought new tyres, wishbones, droplinks, steering idler + 4 dampers & springs & noticed the new tyres were wearing on the outside after a few thousand miles :(
Went back & explained the situation. They did it again but this time the steering wheel wasn't straight,,, really annoying :(
The tyres are now nearly knackered on the outside but have about 5mm tread across the rest.
Waste of £120 >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
Ime...I think fitting new springs can cause the outside wear on the front. Springs take a time to settle to their specific ride hight. How long? who knows, but I guess about a month should see most of the settling done.
Reason it causes outer edge wear is the omega is very sensative to ride hight because it affects the camber setting, increasing camber as the ride hight lowers. Excessive camber causes INSIDE edge wear. But here's the thing, as i understand it, when camber increases this affects the toe setting, causing toe in UNLESS the track rods are shortened to retrieve correct toe setting again.

Think along the lines of, if the top of the wheels lean in, then the steering tie rods have to be shortened as well, because they are rearward of the front axle point, leaning the wheel top in means the wheel also must toe in as well, it has to.

This is why wim deal with the omegas front settings in order of caster(subrame position, this must be correct first as altering it will cock up camber and toe, but not relevant to this issue) then camber(because leaning the wheel in affects track rod length, they need to be shortened) then last of all toe once caster and camber are correct.

Toe in has caused your outside edger wear, resulted from springs settling as they do, which increased camber which in turn caused excessive toe in. So I guess there "may" have been inside edge wear from excess camber, although probably not massive, along with outside edger wear caused by excess toe(front wheels like this / ^ \ when viewed from above arrow showing forward direction)

Hope I've explained that clearly. Understanding it us one thing, conveying it to others is quite another.  :-\

How do you adjust the camber on the Omega? (front)

Had a quick look today while I had the front end on the stands (just done a quick oil change), but couldn't workout how you adjust it?
