I too have joined UKIP and hope that this is the start of common sense coming into politics (albeit about 40 years too late).

Having said that I still have a soft spot for the Monster Raving Loonies as I really have an inherent distrust of all politicians!

Foxes are a pain on the estate where I live.  Last summer there was one sitting on a neighbors ridge tiles like a statue, just wish I had a shot gun, it was a perfect target!

Sounds like too much negative camber, my old 2.0 estate had this problem when I first bought it.  Managed to correct it using the spirit level and ruler method, bit crude but effective.

That was really good, much better the pub band I used to play many years ago.

I had two hernia operations within a year of each other nearly 10 years ago.  Both used the mesh repair method and there was no problem at all.  I was able to walk to the car park (slowly) within 5 hours of each operation and was back at work within 10 days each time.  I had to take it easy for a few weeks but there was absolutely no problem at all just a very small ridge of scar tissue on each side.

Mine packed up recently so I replaced the tank as recommended here which does make the engine bay look new again.  When I pulled out the electrical plug (tight fit) from the old tank I found that the flimsy glass reed switch had broken.  I bought a replacement for a few pence and soldered it on to keep as a spare in case it breaks again.  I would think that this is a common failure mode and am surprised it lasted for over 110,000 miles tbh.

My wife is French, originally from Viry-Chatillon which is just south of Orly airport.  I have driven there many times over the years in all weather conditions using the Boulevard Peripherique and it can be a bit intimidating at times as the French drivers do not always tolerate English cars.  In fact we were stuck in a huge jam there once driving my old Sierra estate and after about 4 hours my left knee seized up due to excessive use of the clutch.   I had to get out and let her take over driving to much sounding of horns and it was then that I decided to buy an automatic car, soon after I bought my first Omega estate and have never looked back.

I fitted Mintex pads on my wife's Vectra 6 years ago and they have been fine so far.  That said I have just fitted Vauxhall  tradeclub pads and discs on my Omega and the prices are very reasonable.

Still have my green paper one in its original plastic wallet, albeit with a couple of SP30's on it.

Being born in 1950 I grew up with a real fear of conscription, fortunately it ended before I became old enough, my slightly older French brother in law was not so lucky and he hated it.

We used to have 3 cats and they often made us laugh with their mischief and daft antics.

A friend of mine's 16 year old son is a champion of the Rubiks cube.  Now he's designing his own puzzles which are being manufactured in China and his future is looking good.

I'm with Lizzie Zoom and will always donate to the Salvation Army an excellent charity where you can be assured virtually all of your donation will be used to good effect.
