Could be something simple like a loose wire, any chance of paper-clipping it?
Ive done the paperclip test & nothing shows up at all & i cant see it being a loose wire to be honest as it only happens when everything is hot.

Did your accelerator do absolutely nothing or could you still rev it up?, Mine does have its moments driving in really hot weather where it goes all sluggish but i'm putting that down to maybe having no fan on the intercooler. :-\

This is a fault that reared its ugly head last year during the hot weather :(, When she has had a good run on a hot day If turn her off for a few minutes then start her back up I have no accelerator pedal for maybe 30 seconds, Then the engine seems to give a little jolt & then all is back to normal again, Its obviously heat related but other than that i'm stumped :-\, Any suggestions?.

Just go & park by the bowling alley on the Bath Road, Failing that if you come off the left filter lane before the tunnel on the airport approach road (where the model plane is on the island), up to the lights & turn left to a village called Sipson there are plenty of places to park along there :y.Then tell them to buzz you when they are out of arrivals & by the time they make the exit doors you should be there.

If you dont have any joy then you could try Deatons scrappy as they had a F/Lift saloon in there a couple of weeks ago, It is on the left hand side in the Vauxhall row the last car down. :y

Facelift bumper and some Sikaflex, job jobbed :y
Ive only just seen the latest comments as ive been away for a few days, Anyhow ive got a f/lift bumper awaiting paint, The problem is that i prefer the side black trims with the silver inserts to the smooth colour coded ones, But if i keep them then the bumper will leave a gap on the rear quarter as the smooth trims are wider, Hmmm quite a dilemma & i just cant make up my mind :-\, Im wondering if i could get away with having the smooth ones on the rear quarter only as they do look like they are joined to the bumper then leave the rest as standard, Any thoughts on that anyone?. ::)

Well it's a damn sight tidier, you look a dab hand with a welder if you ask me  :y.
Well having owned many Vauxhalls over the years ive had plenty of practice ;D,,,Anyhow the update is that after a smear of filler & a rub down it turned out o,k & the bump strip is back on with trim tape as I lost half the clip pins when cutting out the crud, The only paint i had available was some black spray paint so its got a coat of that so the water dont soak into the primer, still got a little bit more to do lower down & by then i'll hopefully get a good day to whip out the spray gun ;)

 ;D ;D

Trim clips are only about 20p each, so not expensive to replace, at least it'll look a treat once done. It's nice to see it being done properly too cut out and redone  :y.
The clips aint the problem its the lack of posts for them to clip to  :D,

My options was to either call in 'readymix' or set to work with the mig, the weather wasn't too kind yesterday getting rain every 1/4 of an hour so I didnt manage to get a photo of what was left after cutting the metalworm out, Anyhow here it is after my mig efforts ::)

Thought it was about time I had a look at my wheelarch due to the MOT advisory for a jagged edge, So the first job was to carefully get the rear quarter bump strip out of the way, & thats when a little job just got a tad bigger! :o,

I believe ive still got the diesel pump that TB gave me ages ago sitting in my garage somewhere, If you need it then let me know ASAP & i'll search it out,  I'm going down to Brize Norton in a couple of days if you could meet me somewhere near there & pick it up. :y, i was given it for gratis so my price is the same!!.

Sorry, Ive just remembered that when it was given to me by TB there was mention of a donation to the club coffers to whoever found a use for it so that'll have to be negotiated with TB himself, flaming beers gave me a memory lapse last night & forgot that bit of info. ;)
