Engine Racing
Today coming home from work the engine started racing,so pulled over put into neutral and engine
was revving at 4000 rpm,turned off engine for about a minute but when started again still went to 4000 rpm so drove
home ,about 3 miles and by then it was back to normal,turned engine off then started it again
and was fine ticking over at about 500rpm,has anyone any ideas what happened,bit worried as got
quite a lot of long journeys coming up,thanks

Auto,always service it myself oil and filters changed regularly.

Hello
Having problem when accelerating from standstill really hesitates then suddenly goes really well until i have to stop again'
can not hear any vacuum leaks,spark plugs ok,no oil down spark plug holes,runs well otherwise,any help would be great.
1995 2.5 V6

My air condition pump has almost seized up[smoke coming from it].Is it possible to fit a shorter belt and by pass the pump so i can get back on the road,and if so would you know what the shorter belt length is.

Omega General Help / Oil leaking onto heat shield

I have oil leaking on to the manifold heat shield on the right
bank,i have looked in the spark plug holes and there is no
oil in there,is it still possible for the camshaft cover gasket
to leak onto the heat shield ,but not inside onto the plugs.

Hello
I have had my omega 2.5 v6 cdx for 9 years without hardly any problems,but lately when i move off or overtake there is a couple of seconds hesitation then it is ok until the next time i stop or overtake.The spark plugs are new and no oil in wells,
Any one got any ideas

Hi I am Bernie from Andover.I have owned a 1995 omega 2.5
v6 for 9 years with very few problems,but a few little niggles
are happening now so i thought i better join the forum after reading it for a couple of years.
