I started using the blind when I realised that it may be not working, but without the blind it does'nt react at all to anything.....

.....anyway, a loan of one or even a drawing would be cool.
. Try fabricating a thin wedge with a suitable 'vee' in the end that you can drive under the head of the bolt whilst undoing it. Once it bites you may be lucky enough to remove it and fit a helicoil if its not too bad. Good luck mate..... OOpps... Got the nasty from the wife.
Told to get rid and get a Ford Focus or something trivial.
She just doesnt get it.
Perhaps its a man thing, flaunting around in an over expensive barge.
I always used, the need for excessive crumple zones, to justify its costs.
Strangely enough, I came clean and simply said that Im sentimentally attached to the
bloody thing. And she understood. :-/
I now understand women even less than I thought I did.....

My local friendly mechanic's going to do my timing belt and kit. Now, I was disappointed, he didn't look even slightly nervous when I said "V6 Omega timing belt" (compared to my old boss, who had a phone enquiry for the same, screamed, said "I don't want to touch it" and hung up...).
So, apart from the belt... what else is worth changing while he's in there - water pump, aux belt, etc...?
