, told to change cam sensor as this may be throwing up gear box code, fitted new genuine cam sensor, no joy still getting torque converter error code
, and car going into limp mode
, car is scrap value against another car part x at car sales places, so do I get hold of a auto box and fit, take the scrap value and trade it in, or bite the bullet altogether and scrap the car altogether
, I think there is more to just changing the auto box as in, the ecu will not recognise the different box, any help and advice what to do here would be great
and put it on, as changing the cam sensor I still had a lumpy tick over on a morning, get it checked though on a reader though, and make sure. OH by the way, noticed oil on the old cam sensor, so changed the cam cover gasket as well just to make sure. Good luck with it.
, any idea's anyone, thanks.
(no windows open), but this is a different smell from say burning oil on exhaust, I had a manual gearbox clutch burn out one day and its like that but not as strong, I have trouble with the auto box as well,(harsh gear changes now and then) is the smell linked to the auto problems? Thanks everyone for looking. Mel
and does not sound an easy fix.
