Omega General Help / misfire
« on: 26 March 2013, 19:12:03 »
Hi, my omega 2001 2.6 auto estate has developed a misfire at low RPM, Checked error codes reading 300 AND 301, misfire on number 1 cylinder, removed the plugs 1,3 and 5 they all looked spot on, so removed 2,4 and 6. number 6 looked very sooty/black and the ignition coil/pack has rust streaks coming from it, now do I trust my gut instincts and buy a new coil pack 2,4,6 or trust the code reader and replace coil pack 1,3,5, any help appreciated, David

Hi,
Just bought an Omega 2.6 CD auto estate 2001.  Very pleased with car but it has minor problems.  Can anyone recommend an Omega Specialist in my area (Stratford-upon-Avon).
Thanks David
