Omega General Help / Problem with auxiliary belt tensioner
« on: 28 March 2014, 18:12:11 »
Hi ;)
Today when I was driving home with my 1995 Omega 2,0 16v and I heard "poooch" and then I saw that I have no power steering and battery light was on. So I opened a bonnet and there was no auxiliary belt and the tensioner has only a bearing.

So, I must change this broken tensioner to new one ? complete unit or just a new pulley ?

Is this work is hard to do by myself?

Thanks for the help

It seems that the problem is with brake light switch. How to change it ? I disconnected  power plug, retracted red pin and then what....?

No, U right. Maybe this engine vibration isn't a cause, I just thought like that.

Where can see this brake light switch?

Omega General Help / Re: Need Advice (brake problem)

Today I was @ the garage and discovered very big problem. It seems that one of the brake pipes has a hole and thru this pipe is leaking my brake fluid. The whole is @ the end of this pipe near the connection with the rubber hose which goes directly to the rear brake support.
Any recommendations how to change this pipe? I know that the one end (which connect with rubber hose) is simple to detach but another ed of this which goes to the front of the car, where it ends and is this difficult to change this pipe to a new one ?

Omega General Help / Need Advice (brake problem)
« on: 09 March 2013, 07:24:14 »
Hi,
Tommorow I planning to repair a rear brake calipers, because I have a leak, so I presuming that is a problem with rear brake caliper because rear wheel is covered in brake fluid :(
Guys any thoughts/recomendations/guides how to remove a piston from a rear caliper and replacing with new rubber seals ?
 Thanks in advance

I think the problem is with this bigger rubber ring.

I think that thru this ring is a leaking. Tomorrow I will by a caliper repair kit.

Yes, somewhere is a leak :( I think it is something to do with the driver's side rear wheel because it is all in strange grease.

well, the brake fluid missing. When I brake it seems that work only front brakes because the pedal goes very deeply. When I restart the engine for a bit of time works both brakes....:(
