Been driving now for 46 years so these are the cars iv owned although maybe not in the correct order and iv enjoyed every minute of it

I loved the days when i was underneath them all come rain or shine cant do that no more now had a few jap cars but allways came back to british cars. My favourite one had to be the cresta with its two tone body colour and those fab rear wings, they simply dont make them now like they used to. Never kept them to long but now thats changed and  i keep them now for around 2 years, so iv got another year yet before i change my facelift elite.

During 2008 i think it was around march/april there was a meet at "wheels in motion" im sure that it was at their cheshum site. On that day i remember they had the deloren gull wing car there and there was allso a lexus meet at the same time, and at the same location. At the end of the day which was great there was a photocall and some of the migs were lined up in a half circle and lots of photos taken. At that time i had a black minifacelift elite estate, that car was allso in the line up. Im trying to find any forum members who were there and took photos of that line up.I know im going back a bit quite a bit in fact but id love to get hold of a copy if possible of the line up.If im right there was allso a powder blue estate there that day to. i would be quite willing to pay for any copies if anyone has that photo. Excuse my spelling my glasses are busted and im trying to do this without them.

Many thanks for your reply regarding this damaged ignition switch doz. Looking at the pic of it the grey cover with the terminals showing has been ripped from the switch so i guess what im seeing is the inside of it, the black plastic cover was on the floor the black triangular bit with a spring on it may have come from inside this switch, the wireing is still intact to wats left of it. I have tried to get a replacement but have only had one reply for a used one at £25.00. my only problem now is would these switches be different in anyway depending on the year or vin number of the model. i would need to remove the wires from the old switch and im wondering if these simply pull of. as they look like they are crimped on, one last thing does the ignition key need to be in  when fitting the new switch and does the ignition key need to be in a certain position when fitting at the moment it simply spins round in the ignition, i would have prefered to buy a new switch but as yet have had no luck, but thanks again for your advice il see now how it goes.

overnight some one attempted to drive of in my elite. after punching out the door lock they removed the steering cowling and prised the ignition switch from the bottom of the ignition barrel. this we found hanging down the side with the wires still attached. however we found a small triangular bit with a spring on it which is broken. im no expert on this and im unsure what to do is, it simply a matter of obtaining a new switch and fitting it or, is there more to it than that. as far as we can see there is no damage to the ignition barrel or steering lock but im unsure about the damage to the switch. are they removed with the wireing attached i see they go behind the panal below the steering column,and is this somthing should be left to a garage to sort out or could i with a few brain cells sort it my self any advice given i would be gratfull for.

Going into my local supermarket fuel station i shoved 20 quid in the tank and then found my self 2p over the mark. well i payed the 2p and thought no more about it. the following week the same thing happened again, only this time the guy at the next pump i noted had done the same thing. The wife of course just thought i was blind and need a eye test so on my 3rd visit i was determined that id stop on my 20 quid mark but, it jumped from 19.97 to 20.02.  having pulled the cashier about it she simply didnt want to know. and insisted the wife was right, get a eye test. there are 16 pumps here and if each motorist went over by 2p some ones making a lot of money. got on the blower to trading standards who pointed out that if you go over by 2p you dont loose out, how do they work that out you cant buy 2p worth of fuel can you. iv used loads of other stations with no problems only this one. now they are saying the pumps are just sensitive and little they can do about it, iv never heard such a load of idiot in all my life. most people will pay the 2p without givin it a thought, my point is if 1000 cars fill up there a day at 2p over each some ones making a lot of money

Omega General Help / wheel locking key

Not really sure if this is the right place for this but, my locking key for my alloy wheels on my mig has vanished, having asked vauxhall if i can buy a new one they say no unless i have the key code card. iv never heard of this having took the car to them and logbook. the bolt head is circular with 3 holes in it. the other option is to pay to have them all removed and replaced. is this right what vauxhall are saying, becouse im sure vauxhall supplied one before on another omega i had with out asking for a key code card. on the other hand any one in east london i could meet up with who may have a simular locking wheel key.

Had this happen a few times, filled up only to go past the same garage a hour later to find the price had dropped. My brother asked me why do you sod about running a mile up the road to a garage to save a couple of quid, well its the feelgood factor, its that the couple of quid saved is in my pocket and not theirs. im happy with that.

Got flagged down today and told boot lid was open on my x plate elite saloon. boot lid will not shut and lock, im at a loss, getting a clicking noise from boot lid when i press key maybe somthing jammed. help please.

just to let you know this is how the sorn works. when your doughter bought the car she would have been given the green slip by the last owner. the last owner would have had to send of the logbook to the dvla and you would have been sent a new logbook registered in your doughters name at this point the dvla are aware who is the registerd keeper. the fact that the last keeper sorned it has no bearing once you become the registered keeper you would have to resorn it as the new owner. you should have had a warning letter from the dvla if either the car is untaxed or has not been sorned failure to do either is now a automatic fine of around 80 quid it dont matter where you keep the car either garaged or otherwise you can get a sorn notice form from any post office fill it in and send it of there is no charge on a downer its possible for them to fine you  need to explain to them the situation as i said if the vechile has been registed to you the dvla would have contacted you sending you a sorn or tax notice hope this helps

just watched this on bbc i player and i cannot for the life of me understand what planet these kids come from or for that matter their parents. This group are put together in a house and through their stay are given tasks to do by their parents, in this case a nights work at billingsgate fish market most of them failed to carry out the simplest of tasks, and winged and moaned about the cold and really didnt want to work. it allso shows the parents pampering their every whim,what a way to bring your kids up only now for them its to late as most of them are between 19 and 24 years old.given their weekly food allowance the group spent it on vodka and crisps some diet and bought plastic cat food trays so no washing up cos yep they dont know how to i have 2 sons my 14 year old does jobs around the house for his pocket money so he has to earn it, my 19 year old son has just got his own flat and is struggling on his 50 quid a week jsa and although we are there in the background for him we have told him he has to do this on his own after all this is what the real world is all about, shame isnt it that these teens in this program have no chance there seems to have been no boundrys set for them and have not been shown what responsobility is and only now are their parents seeing the terrible mistakes they have made
