Had to replace one of my front sensors recently. Took the disc off and used a small drift to push out the sensor. The centre of the sensor cam out first and had to spend 10 mins cleaning out the outer casing. Getting the new one in was not that easy ended up using a soft hammer to get it in after making sure it was lined up correctly with the bolt hole. Oh yes give the excitor ring a clean before you put it all back together. just saves you doing it later.

Had the tech2 done and it's made a world of differance she is running very sweet now. must remember it for next time.

can not work out the stalling either was woundering if i did not reconnect the fast idle or somthing like that when i canged the ecu over but can find of think of any thing I have missed. The only idea i can come up with is the speed sensative side of the ecu has to be set up by a tech2 but was not very sure of that one. I forget to say its a 2000 plate if that makes any differance.

Just to let you know i found a great trick putting the torx bolts back in on the ecu (only took 5 mins for all 6) if you put superclue in the head and glue the torx head to it you can fit the screws no problem and the clues not strong enough to not break off when you take the torx head out.

hi everyone

In need of some help replace the abs ecu for the usual reason but now the tc light will not go out and she stalls alot when on idle and a loads put on from the pas or aircon (bit like fast idel is not working)

She was ok before the change and was thinking she would need pulging into a tech2 to set the ecu (it was a new unit from vauxcav in wakefield.

Any help please

Silly questtion to ask but I have and empty metal carrier of some sort in the bay of my V6 under the header tank. It looks like some thing should be mounted there but i dont know what.

Can any one put my mind a rest.

Hi every one

Just joined tonight. One quick question has anyone got an omega with every thing that works as I DON'T. Have a long list of things to do with no time or space to do them yet but plans are afoot to change that in the next few weeks will have a garage at last to work on the old girl.
