Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: Day driving lights
« on: 09 January 2014, 20:53:56 »
If needed, how do I wire daylight driving lights to my 2001 V6 ? :o would appreciate help.
Just a point of interest, its against the law to have FOG lights on if you can see more than half a kilometre, ie no fog, yet daylight running lights are much brighter (led)?????

Now iīm not sure we have the same laws.
But here in Sweden the law says.
Normal Conditions Daytime:
DRL light OR position lights OR position lights + driving light OR position lights + foglights

NOT the combination Fog Front + Drivinglight
DRL not combined with anything, they havto switch of when other front-lights is activated

ok, I am learn the old way to not open new threads in the same toppic if the if a good thread existing..
the only thing missing from this thread (that I found searching old threads) is what I asked for I think, so thats why i lifted it...
I just was out taking a spin with the tech 2/"My Naff Code Reader" connected.

Headlignht-Adjusters are working (tested with the program)

The front sensors are giving to low signal, 2.2 volts when stationary (basic setting is 3.7 volts the program says)
But the sensors are workning, say them give different value when driving.
Rear ones is OK 3.7v when stationary, and moving up and down when driving and braking.

Hope that I have time tomorrow to try switch the sensors betwen the 2 cars.

is it possible to se that the front and rear sensors are working with the tech 2 ?

I have software

so if i connect it and take a drive, some of the sensors should be changing when going over a speedbump ?

and if so, what should the neutral value be ?

If I acutate the front sensor to the max, lights should be low ?
If I actuate the rear sensor to the max, lights should be high ?

Hi !

I have a similar problem with both my cars...

Car 1:
2002 2.2 Petrol Sedan
Sometimes theres no crank....
good battery, over 12v doesent go below when crank doesent work, it doesent eaven try to crank, evetything else works.
To get it started, jumpstart using other car och simply connect battery-charger for a few minutes (so that voltage get to ~14v) then it works fine !! And when I say Batterycherger I mean a tiny-winy longterm intelligent charger (c-tek) nothing that have boost function.
Could it be the solenoid that it being old ?

Car 2:
2000 3.0 Petrol Estate
9 times out of 10 no problems.
But every now and then its the same thing as car 1.
But here its not the same troble getting it started after.
Simply put ingnition of (and key out), switch on headlamps and try again and if fires up.

WTF !!

Same problem on both do you think ?

hehe....

Weve had the sedan since 2010, always thought that it was something wrong with the button, but it still signals that boot is open....
The dealer could not either get it to work...

NOW when we are selling the car I find this thread.....     ::) :y
