is an engine out job, i suspect the plug may only be weeping. there was no real flood of water from that area. no steam either ,may pm mark

been and looked at the car and it does hold pressure.can see around the hbv area brown staining, so suspect it could be hbv or transfer pipe.if like you say it was a core plug i would agree with what you said.does anyone know where the rear core plug is. one previous engines i have seen, the core plug has been below the level of the gear box.it runs at 90 on temp gauge and went up to 93 ish when the fans cut in.when driving it the owner said it got up to about 95 and it worried him but mine runs up to 95 when sitting or moving slowly.has anyone got a picture of the rear of a v6 or can tell me exactly where this core plug is.
cheers michael

Omega General Help / Re: ECU CODE 144
« on: 03 October 2007, 20:23:23 »
had this code on mine along with 145. mine went in to vx garage for crank sensor change and had keys checked and every thing reset and was fine till today. parked it up for a while , came back and it wont start.think it is a bit more serious this time. nothing was mentioned about it when i picked it up so i dont know if 144 is serious or not. has the alarm/immobiliser been bypassed and the alarm still is stored in the ecu.
