As expected, the car didn't start this morning ! Lots of starter motor, but not firing !

Have  done the 'paperclip test, which showed code 19 - Crank Sensor and Code 73 - MAF.

The Crank sensor is still under warranty...............but I need to get it there ! Any ideas on part numbers for the MAF (I've got one number 281002184 - but this shows as being for a 2.6) ?

Don't think the MAF would prevent starting, but may be wrong. Will see if there are any leaks around the MAF, but my money is on the Crank Sensor ........................... again !!!!!

Any other suggestions ?

Isn't Code 73 the "Airflow Sensor (AFS) Low Voltage?

Went out this morning and guess what yep stalled again in a most inconvenient place. Try restarting and the engine would not start. called AA and when he connected his diagnostic kit the A A fault code showed P0725+ (Engine speed input circuit -possible crankshaft sensor. AA towed me home and I was told that whne the engine cools down the engine may start. Just tried it and it did sart up with no problem. Looks like a visit to the Vauxhall dealer, to have the Sensor replaced because due to work commitments this week unable to do the job myself.
Rob hope this will be of help to you, the only thing I can think of if your car will not start is to have the car towed.

Ah thanks for that.
How difficult is it to replace and where is it located. Reason this is my first Vauxhall since I have had it from when it was only 6 months old I am very very  pleased with it - up until now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

same thinking but wanted to establish if there was any starting issues...

Prior to the initial engine stall (ie before AA call out ) there were occasions where it took a few cranks before the engine fired. I thought nothing of it until the last few days. The car was a bad boy today, yep it stalled on me

Yes.  Before the stall the engine first starts ok and runs/idles smoothly.  After the stall, the engine on the 1st occasion after the AA call out started on the 1st or 2nd try.  The 2nd stall it took about 5 attempts before the engine fired.  Yesterday and today the engine has been a good boy!

Two weeks ago I stopped at traffic lights and the engine stalled and would not restart. Called the AA out and when he connected his diagnostic kit to the car it registered no fault - yet the car still would not start! After proding around for 3 quarters of an hour he retride starting the engine and guess what it started. Over the last 2 weeks the engine has stalled on me twice, fortunately I was able to pull off the road and when I tried to restart it, it did   I know intermitent faults are difficult to find but is there anyone that has had a similar problem and has been able to rectify this problem.

hi all
 i have a omega 2.5 v6 cdx with climate control. although it get lovely and cold i cant get any heat at all, ive had the thermostat checked, the heater matrix and system flushed by a local garage and still nothing!! im hoping sum1 will be able to help b4 i resort 2 taking it to a main dealer and getting a large bill!! any help would be appreciated! its a 1999 t reg auto

I had something very similar on my omega 2.6 a couple of years ago and fortunately for me the car was still under warranty. The main dealer check the system and found that there was no voltage on the climate control management system. Checking the wiring back to a plug and socket, which unfortunately is behind the passanger airbag, was the culprit. So I suggest you check the voltage supply on the control unit.
