How!? Insurance must be insane, unless you've got your parents on you policly and have been driving for a year or 2!?

I'm 2500 For now and only got my licence in May last year, but I have 2 years no claims, from my provisional, but my insurance company wouldn't take them because I bought my omega when I still had my Fiat 

I checked insurance for a 3.0 elite and ( with 2 years no claims ) and it came up 900  some 1.1s come up more expensive than that

Very nice, I bought an Lsd for my diesel, but never got round to fitting it. Does it improve acceleration as well? Or is it just good for getting sideways?

I broke mine  , Intercooler pipe came off at like 60, I tried using tape to fix it, it was all fine until just before my town it started smoking bad turned off and wouldn't start again. I had to push it at least 4 miles  Mechanic at my dads work is looking at it, we will see what he has to say...
And anyway I wanted to swap for a v6 manual, so yeah if you happen to want to swap for my 2.2 dti, (when its fixed of course) feel free to pm me, hopefully somewhere in Scotland

Has anyone ever put a straight 6 in an omega ? Cant recall seeing one 

As above, every 2.5 TD is a straight 6 

Also seen a Lotus 3.6 S6 in an Omega, which went in ok.

Think a 328i engine would be pointless, as would 3.0 straight 6, not much gain?

The Lotus 3.6 is hard to find and would be expensive to run also its turbo so I'm guessing they are not cheap to replace.
M3 3.2 (e36 version) 320hp or (e46) 340hp I think is a good enough option. The 3.0 (in the e46) has about 245hp and I think with a little tune would run about 260, me thinks anyway    So it does seem worth it. I know the omega v6 can get some serious power, but I'm not sure about reliability. 

Unless you guys can tell me if you can swap in like a 3 liter diesel from the 5 series ?

I replaced the air filter with the K&N one  Sort of fixed my wipers; one works now  And on my way from work I stopped in a parking lot and did a nice opposite lock doughnut  Well it was raining like crazy so I had to...

Is the bmw straight 6 lump 2.5td (the one fitted to omegas) similar in build as the petrol version if so would it be possible to fit an m3 or 328i engine in the omega using the diesel engine mounts?  This issue gives me sleepless nights. I would love to fit a 320hp motor in my omega.

Haha very true and they look expensive to people who know nothing about cars, my mates thought my dad's omega cost 5grand  and its like the lowest spec so imagine what people think when you got an elite or mv6 in a good nick with a good color like black.
