Omega General Help / Re: Manual Gearbox
« on: 12 September 2014, 17:56:20 »
Thanks Zirk and Marks. I sent the car to the mechanic. They could not fix it and said they would be sending it to the gear specialist on Monday. I have been quoted between £162 and £246 for used gear box, but the mechanic said I should wait until he hears from the gear specialist.

Thanks zirk. When you pull the lever down, it does not seem to engage and there is no noise.

Omega General Help / Manual Gearbox

My omega is the 2000 2.2  16v saloon. It has a manual gearbox. Since yesterday I have not been able to use the reverse gear. All the other gears work fine. I have had the car for about 9 years and this is the first time that the reverse gear won't engage. Please does anyone know that is causing the problem and is there a fix for it? Many thanks.

Davieboy0312, I will check with the mechanic to see if a seal from a new oil filter can do the job. Thanks

Sjr47, good idea, but fabricating my own seems a complicated thing to me.

davieboy0312, I was at that web site last Saturday. I paid for the part, but on Thursday I got a refund from them saying that the part is not available. Many thanks for your help.

Sjr47, I checked the  link you specified, and it seems that the oil cooler described in the page is different from the one found in Omega-B Y22XE. None of the parts listed in the page has a part number that corresponds to the one that I am looking for.  The part that I am looking for is part Number 92065012. Please any more idea of where I can look for it?

Omega General Help / Oil Cooler Seal Ring
« on: 06 March 2014, 21:42:58 »
Hi all,
The garage that does my car said that I need to replace the Oil Cooler Seal ring. I took the car to the Garage because of oil leak. I was told that leak is from the Seal ring. I have contacted Vauxhall dealers and I was told that Vauxhall no longer make that part. They were not able to supply the part. The Vauxhall part number is 92065012. It is a seal ring for the oil cooler. The car is a 2000, 2.2, v16 Omega-B patrol.  Please does anyone know where I can get a Seal Ring for the oil cooler. Many thanks.
