Hi All.

Have an Omega B 2.2DTI (Y22DTH) 2003.

The car starts and idle for about 10 to 15 seconds. It takes rev but after that it starts to jump and jerk while idling and then cuts out.

Plugged the car Into "My Naff Code Reader" Software and Delphi Diagnostics software that I have. Both Came up with fault code :

P1220

Injection Timing
&
High/Low Flow

Can Anyone shed some light on this ? Some one said its the fuel injector pump ? But was only fitted with a second hand one this time last year ? Shouldnt have gone that quick ?

Have a picture below of "My Naff Code Reader" Pluged in and this is what comes up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Crank sensor can cause limp mode.

Would it cause it to not take any revs at all ?

Whilst driving home the other day my car started to jump/jerk when I would put the foot down. Seem to go away for a while until I was less than 500 yards from the house it started to get really bad while idle aswell. And then the engine management would come on and the car would cut out. Found out the egr valve would be the cause. Changed that today and it started for 10 seconds idling perfect and just cut out all of a sudden. Tryed towing it and engine management light still comes on and goes into limp mode. This car has my head fried between limp mode and not starting  :o. Really considering the box of matches and petrol can !! :D :D :'(

Omega General Help / Re: Omega 2.2DTI Suddenly wont start ?
« on: 30 December 2014, 16:30:27 »
Leak off pipes can let air into system and then cause bad starting, replace all of them, and the t peices.

Changed all pipes with brand new hosing. And changed t peices for new ones. Turned out the frost had started to crack all the rubber hosing  :P First turn of the key and away she went  :y :y

Thanks for all the help mate !! Couldn't thank you enough ! :y :y :y :y :y

Omega General Help / Omega 2.2DTI Suddenly wont start ?
« on: 30 December 2014, 00:17:37 »
Was driving the car for a long period the night before without any issues what so ever. Parked it up that night (Saturday). Temperatures were recorded at -4 degrees that night as frost was setting in. And the next day(Sunday) was sapose to be -6 that night. But that day I went out to start the car after parking it up the night before she would not start at all. First thought heater plugs had given up, Tested them with multimetre and power is going to them. Tryed jump starting it as battery wasnt the best. Still no joy. Borrowed a computer and its not throwing up any error codes. Opened up pipe at injector to see if fuel was the problem. Turned the car over with the pipe loose and no diesel is spraying. Thinking the fule filter could be clogged. But previous owner bypassed fuel filter with a small inline one. Took that off and no diesel spilled out of pipe coming from tank and only a small bit going to engine. Looked closer to the diesel return pipes from injectors and plastic 3 piece hose connector was broke. Would that cause the car to be sucking in air and cause it not to start ? Anyone shine any light on this ? Will be getting all new hose piping and connectors and change all return pipes tomorrow.

Problem Solved !

Turned out to be the Pressure Plate/Clutch Cover that was faulty ! Forks/Fingers were to tight to the circle piece behind the forks on the pressure plate making it to have no resistance to spring back when fully tightened to flywheel ! Got a new one the next day and all was perfect ! Defiantly a mind puzzler from the start but no it explains all. Hope this is good help to some.  :y :y

Did you change clutch cover aswell?

Clutch Cover ? You mean Pressure Plate ?

11
Clutch Plate fitted the wrong way round :-\

Clutch plate was pictured when taken out and has "FS" (FlywheelSide) marked on it. Double checked it so its not in wrong way .

After noticing my clutch was slipping I decided to change it on my 2002 2.2DTI (Y22DTH) Diesel Omega. After I changed the clutch I went to bleed it and after bleeding it. The pedal only goes down halfway and stops. It feels like theres pressure once it comes to a halfway point and will not engage in any gears at all when running. I have changed the concentric slave cylinder and still hasnt done any good. Im fed up at this stage and have no idea what the problem is. Can anyone help or has anyone had this experience before. Very desperate help is needed.  :-\ :-\

Omega General Help / Re: What Is My Color Code ?
« on: 15 August 2014, 21:55:28 »
Z257 at guess, most unusual colour that ::)

Could do with some new rear springs too, those are broken.

Springs aren't broken there just " Bosch's Finest of springs " ;)

Engine oil - its a tractor, so anything, just change it every 3k.

Personally, join ABS, get a tradeclub card, and get the GM Semi synth at better-than-trade, and use that.

GM Semi Synthetic oil. What grade oil eg: ?W ??

Cheers
