Oh yes it was and probably still is miles out even now it tramlines on the motorway in the troffs the let's make but it's better than it was. There not bad cars but the design is definitely showing it's age.

Had spanners out this weekend tinkering and decided I'd check the camber with the socket method I had read on here. So the off side was a 13mm socket between inner wheel rim and strut.the nearside was a 6mm. Loosened the big 🔩 bolts on bottom of the strut and got it levered out to near as damn and hey what a difference no longer pulling to the left.and I realise that this isn't exactly suspension setup at f1 standards but on a 700 quid car I'm hardly going to spend half that again for a bloke to work his magic on it am I

All together the slush box took just shy of a litre of atf and I don't know if it's in my mind but it seems to change gear much more readily. All I have to fix  now is the rear wheel bearing. And exhaust seems to have rotted all down the length on top very odd.

Just found half a litre of dexron 111
I had in the garage from Lord knows where or when
So I put it in with engine running and still not enough  :(
I'll call at motor spares tomorrow and top her up.
Don't know how it's even low to start with there's no leaks

Thanks for the info hoping this will cure my problem god knows how long it's been running like this as I'm the new owner just hope that the damage hasn't already been done.
If it's just dribbling out with the engine off how much do you reckon it will take to top up correctly with the engine running?

No with the engine off why should it be running whilst checking the level? Like I say it's my first ever automatic and no I'm not offended. I have totally dismissed the slush boxed variety of car until now I guess. Maybe it's an age thing as I'm now getting nearer 50 than I am to 40 lol 😂

Thanks Temetsy will do that. Tried swapping the tyre and still the same.it's hard to pick up on every little thing and noise when you test a new car and I usually got a sixth sense for these things

Yeah it's as though the selector has just decided to stick itself into neutral and I lose drive for a few seconds and then wallop! It bangs itself back in.very unsettling and as it's my first time experience with automatics it will probably be my last.
Just to add checked Atf and it's to the level and looks pretty clean

Omega General Help / auto box problems

When driving my 2.2 petrol estate auto particularly when engine hot. When the engine is on the overrun neither accelarating nor decelerating the auto box just gives up driving and the revs jump sky high temporary then it catches and starts driving again.Anyone got any ideas cos I'm getting to the point off driving it off a cliff lol.

Had my omega 6 week and so far had to replace front wishbones track rods brackets discs and pads.
Now rear wheel bearing has developed a drone and exhaust is blowing. Oh and while engine is on the overrun the auto box cuts drive and revs shoot up for about 7seconds. Starting to think I'd have been better off going for the volvo v70

Omega General Help / Re: what to look for on an omega

Just my opinion I've had two members so far. But I would say check front suspension and listen for any noisy different wheel bearings and the sus as they are a heavy car and subsequently heavy on the running gear

Cheers for that may well take it there when i have the time .asfor the torqing up of the forward mounts on the wishbones i jacked up the car then sat it on two spare wheels undeer my front wheels if you know what i mean and then tightend them up.as my car sits really low with it being sport model.and its funny that you mention the steering wheel cos mine isnt straight either
