Omega Electrical and Audio Help / FRONT INTERIOR LIGHTS

Hi,

l dont know if anyone can help me but lve just bought a W reg facelift 2.5td 5 speed manual omega elite estate, but l cant get the front interior lights (above the rear view mirror) to work either with the door open (kurb lights work ok), or if l also pullout the interior light switch on the headlight control unit. lve swapped the 4 interior light bulbs around in different positions and they all work ok (so rules the bulbs out), and the map reading bulbs work off there seperate switches. l wonder if anyone has any ideas before l have to buy a light switch and interior light assembly just to try to fix it

Hi,

Sorry if this fault has already been posted before (l have looked but cant find exactly the same fault as mine), well here goes if l open either front doors the curb doors lights come on and go off if doors are reclosed (as they should do), but my front interior lights (by the rear view mirror) dont come on ? lve removed the light assembly and have swapped all the 4 bulbs about with the map reading bulbs and all the bulbs work (apart from when they are fitted into the normal interior light positions) so lve ruled the bulbs out, also if l pull the head light switch (to switch on the interior lights) they also dont come on as they should do ? any ideas would be great !

hi everyone,

just a quick message to say hi and that lm now a new happy (hopefully) owner of a 2000 W reg omega 2.5 td elite estate, just looked over the car and found a few items that dont appear to work (appear common faults), sunroof sort of works, the interior lights dont come on (when doors are opened, though door lights do) the individual map lights work on their switches, but the other lights dont come on when headlight switch is pulled out so look forward to trying to sorts these out !
