Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Will CCRT 2008 Onstar work ?
« on: 13 April 2016, 17:02:20 »
As I heard, the Onstar system will be/is revitalized.
Can I use the Onstar button in my car ? (it has CCRT 2008 installed)

The original manual says:

Onstar button: No function

Thanks for any help !

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: CCRT 2008 BOSE upgrade ?
« on: 29 February 2016, 17:47:58 »
Seems it's hopeless..

Is GMOS-04 usable only for US made vehicles ?

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-JQLdCDQGf4V/p_120GMOS04/Metra-GMOS-04-Wiring-Interface.html

From the description:
"Connect a new car stereo and retain OnStar®, the audible safety warnings and chimes, and the Bose® audio system in select GM vehicles"

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / CCRT 2008 BOSE upgrade ?
« on: 29 February 2016, 11:52:46 »
Hi,

Is it possible to upgrade my CCRT 2008 BOSE headunit with the help of GMOS-04 ?
Are there any headunit to replace ?

Omega Sedan 3,2 V6 Automatic
The audio:
BOSE system with Philips CCRT 2008 Head unit AM FM GSM

Anyway, I'd like to keep the GSM possibility.

Thank you,

Balazs

Thank you Zirk !

BTW.: will it be OK also for FM ?
FM/AM is in rear screen ;)

Thank you Harris !

It's totally new for me.

So, in my car the CCRT 2008 receives the radio(AM/FM) signals from rear screen heater, and the outside aerial(whip) works only for phone(GSM) ?

Best regards,
Balazs
