Omega General Help / misfire under load
« on: 11 September 2008, 18:17:48 »
wondered if anyone can help my sick cdx 2.6? recently developed a misfire at low revs under load in all gears but mainly pulling away from a standstill, i put in new plugs but i think it may have all started after i took off at high revs oneday and the engine management light came on for a few minutes and the engine ran like a bucking bronco for a couple of miles! misfires as described eversince!
any ideas would be greatly appreiciated.  :y

ok, sorry, just being lazy. i think from memory that the code was 0073. just used the last two numbers!
looked up the code at the time and as i said it came up with maf low voltage. >:(

General Discussion Area / my damn ecu light
« on: 15 December 2008, 18:26:29 »
hi folks, getting well frustrated now with the ecu light on constantly and running slightly ragged when i try to accellerate!
called out green flag a few days ago cause the spanner light came on(what is the correct term?)and though she turned over she wouldnt fire.
the engineer played about with fuses and relays etc and bingo, away i went, ecu light was gone too! next morning the ecu light was back, and so was the misfire!
 anyone experienced this nightmare? HELP?

General Discussion Area / maf and heater fault?
« on: 22 October 2008, 16:51:47 »
hi folks,
desperate here to finally get the monkey off my back!
my problems are two-fold, but may well be connected who knows? you lot hopefully?
firstly my heater blows cold (or mildly cold when the engine is hot) and has done for a year now, i have just changed the hbv but to no avail! read somewhere that it could possibly be a vac problem, which leads me to my engine management light problem.
fault code points to maf low voltage and i am told that is sure to be a vac fault and not the maf itself!
please, please please try to solve one or both of these for me before i go nuts and also freeze to death!!
 thanks!
