Hi Guys, I'm looking to replace the CDR 2005 VDO unti in my 52 2.6 v6 as the rotary volume dial is screwed.  I have seen a CD30 on ebay from a vectra I think? will this fit it double DIN but what about the connections?  Also there is a cdr 2005 VDO from a corsa/Astra which is chrome would this be a straight swap? whaty about the display unit?

Any advice b4 spend £60 on ebay

Thanks Gray

Hi All, after a miserabel 4 months with my 2.6 v6 52 plate auto miggy the bl**dy management light is on yet again.

Had the oil cooler replaced in March, then had the Crank sensor changed in April, had the two rear springs replaced last week.

Done about 260 miles since last in the garage and the mgt light came on again had tech 2 test done for £20 and fault does were showing as follows; P0430 CAT systems below efficency P0335 not present unknown?? P0420 CAT systems bank 1 below efficiency.

Can someone explain what the they mean and if it going to cost me a fortune already forked out close to a grand.

Thanks Guys :'(

Omega General Help / Oily sludge in coolant expansion tank
« on: 18 February 2008, 18:13:59 »
Hi all,   I have had my 52 plate 2.6 v6 Petrol for the last 6 mths and had a full service and cam belt chage as soon as I had it.  About 2 mths ago the EMC light came on thought nothing of it as car was running well. Then last week Check oil level appeared on the display and sure enough it needed a top up.  Today just came back from a 35 mile trip and the Check oil light came on again. Checked Dipstick all nice and clean no sign of water or anything else but level was very low.  No blue smoke out of the exhaust and no over heating.  Just was about to close the bonnet and noticed what looked like Oil around the expansion tank.  Tried to take the top off and the expansion tank is full of Oily watery sludge :'( would this be the Oil cooler failing or more likely to be the head gasket?  any ideas on the cost to get repaired?

Thanks Guys

Graeme
