My 3L v6 has been sat 20+ years and started it the other week after its top end rebuild (failed guide roller bearing) and it still rattles a bit from tappets, nothing a good run wont sort I suspect.

Yes and it was the wannbe's turn this morning, hoards of them! Then on the way home some tit in a Range Rover pulled out of a junction and went very slowly up the road in a 40, it went national limit just round that bend onto a straight so it was clear and I went to overtake. They suddenly slowed more (no brake lights) and wobbled in their lane, so much so I nearly hit them . They need to lose their licence.

Sorted out why the o/s flasher not working on the Austin, the wire from the flasher unit to switch is black and white but so is the wire to the n/s lights. Got the 2 mixed up when I shortened the loom to the switch, only took 2 hrs to work that out!!

Yet another bike race on the same roads they always use ,almost every bloody weekend. Then theres the marshals with red flags at junctions. I cant race my car on the road so why can these lycra clad a holes do it and block the roads.

Top tip for fitting the front seal as its a bar steward, bit of tube slightly bigger than the nose of crank then the seal just slips on. I would but not sure how to do that on here.

Got the engine fired up in the Austin, no oil leak!!! Warms up quick as well ,temp gauge held steady at just over 90C . Found I have a coolant leak where the heater pipes bolt up to the rad core, bugger I put instant gasket on the flange as well. Trouble is its a Metro heater and they are square section O rings.

Fitted the new front oil seal, its a bit of a bugger to do. Found a bit of tube that was a bit larger in dia than the crank ,good bit of lube and it pushed in. Found an old VW air cooled main bearing was the right size to tap it in with a large socket, timing belt on and double checked. Made a crank locking tool from scrap bits but had to borrow Ds wrench to do 250nm, then giving it the 45deg it broke my 1m long Snap on breaker bar 1/2ins drive. Its FT so that will have to do, rad in tomorrow and see if it worked. You cant tell as the outer lip hides the inner bit. Elring seal and it was better quality than the first one.

Hairy arsed bloke in a dress is the misconception of trans ladies, for the ones who have fully transitioned that is not the case. Who would go through multiple surgeries, painful hair removal and all just to gain access to ladies areas.  Also now what about trans men who may be forced to use women's only areas, they didnt think that through.

Turns out its a non thing, all they did was define the meaning of sex in the law to mean biological sex so it changes nothing.

Managed to saw through the bolt that was holding the cross bar in, took 1/2hr with a hacksaw blade in a handle. Other side was easy as the grinder fitted in, pulled the seal and found lip turned over. Will have to be more careful this time.
