I cant inspect the vehicle at the moment since it's in the garage.. awaiting to be seen probably Wednesday

from what I could make out i couldnt see any leaking..havent had chance to check the brake fluid level.

The Clutch pedal is returning back up.. it is not staying on the floor..
Does this mean it isnt a hydraulic failure

I was driving home tonight when my clutch pedal went.. it is very loose to press down with little resistance. I cannot put the car into gear with the engine running. I can when it is off tho and it does jerk forward when started in first gear.

Any Ideas on what has gone wrong? How to fix and an estimate of what a Vauxhall dealer would charge to fix the problem...

Phew thats a relief...
I noticed it when I changed the engine oil last weekend.. I used GM 10/40 semi on recommendation from this forum. Lets hope it reduces the cack building up in the pipe..

I'll try to post some picks of the oilf filter placement, because the Haynes manual doesnt have it correct for the 3.0 engine and there aren't any pics of it on this forum so it may help someone else out.. I'm learning as I go.. what a car to have just as I decide to get more hands on with the maintenance. I should really be learning on a fiesta NOT a 3.0 Litre Omega !

Omega General Help / Mayo in the Oil Filler Pipe, What's the cause ??

Hello everyone.. i could do with some advice.
I recently found some Mayo in the Oil Filler Pipe, What's the cause ??
Is it the head gasket..? or could it be caused by small trips..
atm I am driving the car on small journeys so it doesnt warm up.

I have read somewhere that the mayo could be caused by short journeys especially in cold weather..
so I went for a cruise tonight for 50 minutes and it didnt seem to help..

what dya think is causing the problem and how can i fix it?
oh and what negative effects could it have on the car if i keep doing short journeys?

The car has had the Cambelt kit and water pump replaced 6000 miles ago.
I've got Vauxhall receipts for this and lots of other work. SO she's good to go.
I'm gonna change the oil this week and research replacing the brake discs..

The car has a few niggly faults like bulbs need replacing and the sat nav voice commands dont work..

I havent had much experience working on cars and find the photo walk throughs on the forum really helpfull.
I'll try to record any work that I do and post the results.

Newbie Welcome Area / Just Bought my first Omega ..

Hi Everyone,
I just bought my first Omega. I havent felt this excited about owning / driving a car since I passed my test.

3.0 Omega Elite 99 Sreg in a nice velvet green..Extremely impressed by the motor and extremely shocked by the low mpg.

I've been adviced already to join Autobahn Stormers for the trade club card..
I've read alot of posts here especially on maintenance and service advice, it's all very informative.
Does anyone have any general advice on how to look after the Omega ? Any known problems to keep an eye out for ?
Also Any insurance companies you recommend?
