I used this guide on my 2 litre.
after the cleaning the revs would go up and down.My fault for being heavy handed with the accelerator outer sheath.not enough slack to adjust butterfly.

Had this problem after cleaning breathers,throttle.Turned out i was a bitheavy handed with the outer accelarater sheath,not enough slack to adjust the butterfly valve,slackened it off ,adjusted butterfly valve to closed,almost,no probs since.

Have been doing the rust around arches and top of door myself,body work repairs are labour intensive and can't afford it.#So am tackling it myself.
Used a wire wheel thingy to get down to bare metal,used Kurust to treat,filled ,sanded and then sprayed base and top coat.
Paint ,filler and rust treatment are pretty cheap,it is just time consuming.
Post b4 and after pic soon,just a bit more to do.

Strange this has popped up.Monday i went to stealers an bought n/s rear weather strip (£17)filler,etching primer,primer,top coat and a can of waxoyl.Hope to do the door this weekend.
