Thanks Rickyboy, I did post a reply to your message before but for some reason it didn't go through.. my substandard internet connection I think..!

My main question is whether there different types of camwheels on the 2.0 ecotec?

Cheers

Omega General Help / Camshaft wheels Ecotec

Hello all!
Well, I successfully changed my meega head with a second hand one after purchasing said car with cambelt snapped. All good, up and running but got slight problem.
I get very rough running and inability to rev. But when I disconnect the camshaft sensor it runs fine but I suspect at base settings, a little underpowered. So, my question is.. are there two types of camwheel because I can't remember whether I used the ones that came with the head or the ones that were originally on the car.. I think I've fitted the original car ones but perhaps the new cams are different? The others got binned so I can't just swap them over otherwise I would try that of course. If anyone could shed any light on this I could go looking in the breakers yard for what I need.

Thanks for any suggestions in advance!

Hi Guys,

New to the forum, just bought a cambelt-snapped Omega 2.0, so this forum is no doubt going to be useful in my plight!!

1st question is: Is it possible to tow this automatic car with the wheels on the floor or will it knacker the gearbox? It's a 1998 2.0 estate auto.

Any help much appreciated!

Cheers
