That'll explain why I can't post a message then!  

It's a shame as it looks like the current miggy will end up being scrapped and I was hoping that it would find a good home with someone here.

Hi Guys,

I thought I'd finally join the site after several years of 'lurking' here. I've picked up a lot of useful info here and I'd like to thank you all for that.

Unfortunately the time has come for me and the car to part ways, so I'm posting a for sale notice on the sale board.

I'm also looking for a new car and would dearly love another Omega, so if anyone knows where I can get a newish lowish mileage diesel estate elite then please let me know.

General Discussion Area / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Hi Guys,

I know this isn't the right board for this, but I hope you'll forgive a newbie for this...

My Miggy has to go   and I don't have enough posts yet to put this in the 'For Sale' section and if it's not gone by next weekend then it'll be going to the scrap yard  

So here we go.

The GOOD

It's an Omega, not much more to say really  .

The BAD

Driver's heated seat doesn't work.
Sunroof doesn't open.
Driver's door lock doesn't always work from the remote.

The UGLY

Oil sludge in the coolant expansion tank  


The oil in the coolant is the reason I'm getting rid of it (from what I've read here it is probably the oil cooler thats gone). Unfortunately I don't have the time to try and repair it myself and I don't have the money to pay a garage to do it.

The car is a fully loaded '98 2.5 V6 Elite auto saloon with 129000 miles on the clock, it's got about 3 months of tax and MOT left on it.

It was driving fine last time I used it which was just before Christmas. I  tried to start it at the weekend and it was turning over but wouldn't fire so if anyone does want it, it'll probably be a trailer job.

If anyone wants this car for spares/repairs then make me an offer - I'll consider anything, but as I said above it's got to go by next weekend.

And sorry again for posting this on the wrong board.
