Thanks

Thanks for the feedback mates, My seatbelts are fine and the airbags are intact - no accidents :y.
You have made some good points and although i would agree safety first, providing the seatbelts work and the airbags are intact - I cannot really see the additional need to pay £350,00 for a computer function that seems over the top, just like the other over-design ideas of this car that were withdrawn on later models.
Vx have re-confirmed that the computer is fubar - they would not give me the code/s though :-/

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Seat/airbag light on

How can i get this annoying red light to go off on the dashboard? Vx has advised that the 'seatbelt/airbag  computer' is fubar and i need to replace for about£350.00
Frankly i would just as soon have this lamp 'convenientely' switch off...
Any ideas?

Thanks guys, sounds like a plan. From what I have learnt C/Control can be less economical on fuel if driving on hilly terrain. My reason / interest is that i regularally find myself speeding and 'its not my fault ::)' so i am thinking that cruise is the safe way for me to go. :y

Yikes!
Think that i will stick to standard :y
Thanks mate

Hi, anyone know if cruise control is 'easilly' possible for my miggy? I read somewhere that i may only need a stalk or something.
Thanks,

Ok, just wondered if the fuel mixture / something else was affected when the valve operated. The valve appears to be the cause of an intermittant rough idle RPM condition that i experience when the engine is up to temperature.

Thanks :y.

Hi, Is there a proper method to bypass (electrically) the EGR valve on the 2.5L 1999 V6?

Right on TMX!
99% of the time the bonned switch is the culprit. Mine is still disconnected though - must get arround to replacing it :y

HEY!
Thanks for your experiences guys but after reading i am MORE confused about what is the best disks and pads replacement option :-/.

Vx do not manufacture and apparently Delphi and Bosch manufacture for the OEM(??!!) and Mintex also claim to manufacture for the OEM's. so what really is the difference if any... we may never know... ;)

Hold on,
Are you saying that the discs do not 'warp'?

I am looking to replace discs and pads because of steering and pedal wobble when i break from high speed.
Should i be considering something else? :-?

Has anyone used the 'MINTEX' brand brake discs and pads and are they as good as Vx?
I have to replace my warped front discs so please offer me some valued guidance.
Thanks :-/
