Some people were asking about the mirror repeaters, as you can see they are stuck on (will be touch up by the summer) not sure where they came from though.

Talking about a Police magnet, a funny story from last year! I was going to Geneva for the Swiss Tunning Show and travelling down the Motorway in France. At the last Toll before Switzerland I could see the Police, in force >:(, the otherside of the Tolls, there was a fairly large group of us so coming up to the barrier I allowed an Evo VIII FQ340 8-) to come infront of me. I could see the Police coming over to my lane and thought that they were going to pull the Evo ;D. The Evo went through no problem! :-? the Police Officer then stepped infront of my Omega and just looked at the car with the "I've got you now" pleasure on his face ::). I don,t get intimidated by anyone so didn't think much of it as I actually hadn't done any speeding on the run from Lyon as it was only a short run and I wanted to enjoy the scenery and sun :P. He then in a French sort of way put his hand up and told me to pull into the Police cordon >:(. With nothing to hide I was only to happy to comply. The car next to me was another one of the group I was with and he was having a very hard time with the Police as they wanted to impound his car as he couldn't pay his fine for apparently speeding :(. By now 4 Police Officers were surroung my car looking at it 8-), I turned to my navigator and said that all they had to do if they wanted a picture with the car was to ask ;D :). I was then told to get out of the car by some big (fat) Police Officer in a really poor attempt at French attitude :-/. He told me that I had been speeding and had been seen, to which I replied that it was impossible, I have 3 big guys in the car, a boot full of luggage, 65 litres of fuel and two litre engine with no modifications. Looking puzzled :o (he's French) he told me again that I was speeding, again I replied that there is no way that was possible. He then walked me around the car trying to find something else to get me on as the speeding thing was just not working :'(. So out came all my documents which to his frustration were all in order including specialist Insurance ;D, this guy was getting really really frustrated by now and asked me to open the boot ;). Without complaining I opened the boot, which was full with bags and one by one he went through them :-[, he couldn't find a thing. The last resort was to surround me with Police Officers and give the speeding thing one final try :y. Alas it didn't work so he wobbled off to some Big Cheese sitting on a Police Bike and spoke to him :( (I think it was in French). He came back with that look in his eye (I'm sure I could see a little tear in the corner of his eye) :'( :'( :'( gave me back my documents and told me to carry on, so smiling with a very British smile I said thank you got back into my Omega and drove :) :) :) off looking in my rear view mirror I could see the Officer was getting a hard time from the guy on the bike  ;D:'(, "oh well" I said "lets head into a more civilised country" (Switzerland).  :y :y

Cheers for some of the comments, The repeaters are stuck on then drilled through and wired into the main indicators, they were already on the car so I can't help in where they came from, sorry! As far as the engine goes it has just been replaced with a lower milage (35000) engine 3 weeks ago. The current milage on the car has just passed 200000 miles today so a small mile stone (excuss the punn). There are mods around although most are for 2.5 & 3.0 there are chips for 2.0 (German) but you have to play around with fuel pressures etc so as she stands at the moment it is totally standard. The design (graphics-stripes) were on the car for just a few weeks during the Modball Rally and Swiss Tunning Show in Geneva, not really what I wanted to do but the extensions on the bumpers were showing there age on the joints so I coverd it up with the bumper graphics. This year I have a new kit from Germany and bigger rear spoiler to put on by April. This will be in All white as will the door mouldings so she will look very different from how she does now. Any more questions just drop me line. Kind rehards Marc
