Hey.
I'm having a dubble DIN radio in my omega. Therefore I don't need the info from the radio to display in the dash bord. And now, when i switch on my radio, the display shouts off. Does any of you know which wire i need to give power, so the time and date is shown allways, even when i turn on the radio? I've tried it in my old Omega, but now I've forgotten what I did.

Thanks in advance... :)

Welcome aboard. Peachy Mig, but why after all the care you've taken over it is the rear bumper hanging off the rear panel?

You just got me going WTF... Ran out on the P-Lot. But luckely the bumper is fittet perbreaktly in the panel. So it must be because of the ligt, it seem that the bumper is faling of.

Soon I'll upload some pictures...
I have this old pic with the irmsher bumper, and as you see, it fits perbreaktly. But thanks for telling me if you see something suspecius on the car  :y

Hello
Well I'll follow the suggestion to write in the newbee section.

I'm from Denmark. Drives a Omega 2,6 V6 from 2001. It's compleatly rebuilt with IRMSCHER and ofcourse a catera lid.
Next Ongoing project is to modyfi a touch screen instead of the ordanary radio.

I can upload a whole lot of pictures on the net, and might do so, if wanted.

For now I have 5 pictures (the limit) on http:\\www.opelpower.dk/galleri see under omega B -> http://www.opelpower.dk/galleri/?mode=showcar&carid=1994
Also I have more pictures on
http://www.geilekarre.de/nickpage.php?besitzer_id=108113

I can use this site to upload unlimited pictures:

The pictures here are from before the IRMSCHER rebuild  :y

for the lazy ones i can post 1 pic here:

It's from a show in Odense Denmark.

The lids will swap but the tail light units are shaped differently. Swapping Omega tail lights for Catera units isn't as easy as it seems. For both the pre-facelift and facelift Omegas you would need the Catera boot lid.

The pre-facelift Catera (97-99) had a full width light/reflector lid that would work with the Omega lights because both cars share the outer units .

This American owner used an Omega boot lid with lights to give his custom Catera a rear fascia unique on this side of the Pond.

Facelift Omegas lid lights had rounded corners versus the 2000-2001 Catera's sharper ones. The outer units of both cars are shaped the same so the Catera units should slip right in but a little body work would be necessary to reshape the lid's cutouts to accept the Catera units. That or buy a facelift Catera lid.

Some trouble but would be a nice custom trick for the Omega though. The wide thin light strip is our center mount brake light. It uses LEDs while the other tail units are incandesant.

I really had to join your site, just to let you know, that wrong what you tell about the Catera tail lights for the omega facelift.

I'va built my omega with the catera tail. I also bought the lid and got it imported from the States to Denmark. I also thought that the lights wouldn't fit on a regular trunk lid. Hovever the lid lights is actually one part. It's mounted with app 7 screws in the lid. Between the lights you have to mount the plast part. Thats all.

Also it's no problem to built on the lights only. ;)
