Its a rare car, I've seen it as my mate now owns it. It had a 2.0 turbo engine, I think from a Vxr and it has bigger discs and calipers fitted to the front, not sure What they are off but it would good find out so it would be great to get talking to the previous owner for more info
So the 2.6 is an Mv6? I do believe an lsd was an option for all Mv6s when new? And a 2.6 auto only Mv6 with the 4.22 ratio, so it would be very rare to get an lsd with that ratio, I know I've never seen one and I've alot of omega lsds. And there would be no chance of getting one with diesel gearing 3.45
Is the td chipped? If not get it chipped and get the lsd shimmed, a chipped td is fit to lock a good lsd. All lsds are 3.7 or 3.9 ratio, this will leave a td worse on fuel, a lsd can be built with the a td gearing , I have done a few of them
2.6s and 3.2s don't have a limiter The guy at triple 7 just outside cookstown said to a mate of mine that he should be able to wire a limiter in. His number is 02886751000
The gearbox is out of a 320d, I didnt think it would be as quick geared as it is, and I didn't think a td could be so much fun I think the diff in the car at the moment is either a 3.7 or 3.9 as it was petrol before converting to diesel, so a 3.45 should help abit but maybe not enough??
Kind of for economy. I have fitted a 6 speed to a td, but it is very low geared, it go's like f**k but at 2000rpm in 6th it is only doing 50mph, I havn't the car on the road yet but I imagine it would be realy sore on fuel
Sorry, I mean a higher ratio, like a 3.1 or something like that, I think I read somewhere that the opel omega 2.5dti has a 3:22, so something like that might be ok but hard to get in the uk. So maybe maybe a diesel carlton??
