thanks for reply. mines a 20l 16v 2000 and iv been told the crank sensor gives a lot of bother but local vx said the dis pack in this model gives very little troble :-?

hi guys can anyone here give some tips im getin the code 0505 {idle control valve voltage high/low} iv had it out and cleaned it and the breathers and throtle bodies but the car still has a intermitin missfire. it idles ok but every 30 seconds or so theres a slight skip or miss and under gentle acceleration it takes notions of the same. new plugs and rocker gastet fitted with no efect also getin code 0335 think this is crank sensor would that cause this problem thanks for reading. :-/

hi there i had same prob with my 2.0 cd and a friends 2.2 cd auto i striped the throtle bodies on both saturday past and cleaned them and the air jet and all the breather hoses. goes like new and its not that big a job took about an hour and half. well worth a go and theres a good manual in the maintanence section. :) hope this helps.

Hi there was driving along today and all the hands sudenely droped and the EML came on.  We cheaked the codes and it was bringing up that there was incorrect RPM signal. not suer what this means could anybody help? :-?

yes it cuts out at 4500 rpm. it only started doing this today but when i did the paperclip test yesterday it gave me the cam sensor code 0340 but the eml wasnt on and had never come on. is it normal for the test to show codes even if the eml isnt on? :-?

good idea im guessing they wont clear themselves when i replace the cam sensor? would it be worth my while to invest in a cheapy tech 2. :-/

the car is showing the cam sensor code 0340 as well would this be the norm with these? should i replace both and if so where is the crank sens located thanks.

the 2.2 is going fine thanks just wanted to cheak it out as i had done it on my 2.0l

here the code 0335 was comming up on my 2.0l in the code manual it said it was incorrect RPM signal, do u know what this means.

Hi there does anybody hav a diagram of where the paperclip goes in on the 2.2petol.  I hav already done it on the 2.0l but the layout is not the same on the 2.2l
