Welcome mate!!Hi psychnurse,I bought car a few months back 66kmiles with supposed main bearings run but on investigation it turned out that there was one bearing cap missing (no one knows anything about)however I managed to source the shells and replaced it crank was ok but on start up the rattle had gone but car is putting out blue smoke on acceleration an now the cel has come on so Im suspecting either the turbo or rings are gone,Bill.

Hello folks, Well it appears I have had to join the omega owners forum if I need any help with the engine in my 99mdl saab 9-5 3.0v6 as apparently it is fitted with an omega engine, So theres no better place to ask if this is the case than here, hope you,s dont mind me asking, and hope I dont get lynched lol, any help will be greatly appreciated ,Bill.
