I've noticed that when i use to key fob to lock the car all the door's lock except the driver's, but when i press the fob a second time to double lock the door button goes down & the door lock's, if i use the key then all the door's lock first time.
Is something sticking or worn out & is it easy to fix.

Have just had the same problem 
car has been off the road for 7 months. started with some white discolouring in the corner of the windscreen, next time i look there is 18inch crack from the corner to the middle 
how can it just happen. Same as, car is sorn & no insurance. just another job to add to list to get car back on the road.

The biggest pain in doing the oil cooler is cleaning out the Coolant System..
As The Boy has said for around £130 you will get everything you need to do the job.
I would do the Dowty Washers (on the coolant bridge) while i was there which are four washers with a rubber seal in the middle, they are around 60pence each if i remember correctly.. I have posted a link of a picture below, the Coolant Bridge is the thing at the back of the picture which goes from one head to the other. The Dowty Washers go, one under the coolant bridge and one above then the bolt
goes through them.... watch the bolts though as they are hollow and easily snap cost around £5 if they do!! You can see the Oil Cooler plate which has the to pipes coming from the rear at the botton of the "V".... hope that makes sense
I reckon it would take about 3 hours to do on your first one

Is it 3 hours to do the lot or just the washers, after looking at the book i'm not sure i can manage this job :-/ might end up doing more harm than good.
The car may have to stay broken

£90 for new oil cooler kit (get kit, as individual parts come to much more), and about another £30 for odds and ends. Special tools required - crowfoot spanners - do not be tempted to bend oil pipes, been there, done that.
Then, once done, get used to flushing it daily for a fortnight or so....
Where would be the best place to get the kit from & what would the odds & ends be, as i said my mechanical knowledge is ltd so what is a crowfoot spanner.

Hi everyone.
It's been some time since i have been on the forum, i like the new look. Unfortunately the omega has been off the road for a while, reduced to driving the lad's Rover 400 (not the same). The problem is went to top the water up only to find it was full of sluge,
Had a word with the local garage & they tell me that the oil seals have gone on the oil cooler & leeked into the water system (they say a commen fault :question).
They say it's a big job, will be a hell of a game to clean the water system out & cost a few hundred pounds at the very least, now is this wright, i have ltd knowledge under the hood, so would i be able to do this working out of the Haynes or is there a how to on the forum.
Any help or advice would be great.

Just had the Exhaust Click fixed
Now not embarrased when i start the car up & sounding like a massy ferguson tractor 
The fibre gasket had blown at the back + 2 bolts had sheered off. Fibre gasket replaced with a new metal one & the sheered bolts had to be drilled & taped, glad i did'nt do the job myself. Had a local garage who specialised in vuaxhall do the job, had it in for a day & half, cost £210.00 all in (not bad i think) now it just purr's again, saw 2 other Omega's there, both elite's, one having a cam belt changed & the other had a problem with the front tyre's wearing out (not the tracking) not sure if they were member's of the OOF (maybe), Will use these guy's again when i can't help off the forum

Would have a go if i had some expert help around, seem's to be alot of things in the way that i would not like to mess with & not able to get under the car these days
would it be possible to go to one of these cambelt party's or would it be to big a job.

I run a viper induction kit, a bit expensive but better than a cone, has a heat shield to protect it
from engine temp, it's also connected to a 100mm cold air feed pipe which is feed from the front of the car, not everyone likes the chrome intake but i'm getting used to it. Slight improvement on performance, but only when you get the rev's up, sound's good & not loud on moterway driving

Seem to be getting through alot more fuel past couple of week's
As i put in a previous thread, have got a click from the exaust manifold
gaskit, could this be the cause or should i be looking somewhere else

Same ticking noise as you on my 98 CDX, been ignoring it but now starting to
sound like an old Mk 2 granada i had. Mine seems to be on drivers side & it look's
like a stud is missing at the back so booked to go in local garage next wensday,
no time to sort out myself, told my lads they can pay for it as they wont the car
when they pass there test's

Had my system changed at Custom Chrome, still twin pipes cats back but one
long center box, sounds better as well.
First system change was a powerflow, what a load of rubbish that was.
