Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Rear fogs not working
« on: 17 August 2008, 13:50:43 »
Done a check of all my lights the other day and found out that both my rear fogs don’t work. Nipped down to Halfords for myself 2 lights fitted them and still nothing. When I turn them on the light comes up on the dash so show there on. I’ve checked all connectors are in properly but still having no luck,

Any suggestions

Adam

Omega General Help / after two and a bit years... is this the end???
« on: 05 September 2009, 11:29:02 »
hey all!

i think my miggy has come to its end  :( since monday its been constantly over heating and dropping all its water. done all the usall checks, thermostat seems good, fans kick in at about 97, all pipes getting hot.

it just seems to constantaly getting air lock. ive been running up to temp with the cap off and priming the radiator pipes to get the last bits of air out but as soon as i do the cap back up it fills straight back up with air. drive about a mile all seems fine untill i stop. the guage shoots up to 100 so i pull over relive the pressure then the temp will drop to 95 - 97.

theres a huge amout of mayo on the oil filler cap and pipe and somtimes get bule/white smoke out the exhaust  :-/

whats your thoughts, expencive garage bill or try somthing else

Omega General Help / confused with buying new headlight?!
« on: 06 May 2009, 19:29:36 »
hi all, its been a withle since i was last here. just got back form working in kenya!

just before i left i had a little accident and smashed the front left side. thankfully not my fault, his insurance paid out. the car had been deemed a cosmetic right off. all it needs to get back on the road is a few parts, the main one being a front left headlight. just had a look on ebay but am confused to witch one i need. it for a 99 (T) 3.0 elite estate. would be greatfull if someone could shed some light  ;D on the situation!

all the lights still work on it, its just the unit that is smashed up!

Omega General Help / Re: Self Leveling Shocks or Standard?
« on: 14 August 2008, 23:34:30 »
the tank is in the spare wheel well and i think it weighs around the 80kg mark when its full.  then when im lumping family and friends around with bits and bobs in the boot. i have read somewhere that the compressor kicks in when theirs the equivilent weight of 2 or 3 people in the back. so with a full LPG tank half full petrol tank and only 1 person in the back seems to me like this would be when the compersor kicks in. and as lazydocker said to me the cars made with that part so replace it with that part (well some where along thoes lines!)

.....
just got a quote from a garage £66 shocks (each), rear springs £196 (pair) and front wish bones £50 pair. all on TC. looks like in going to be a busy boy the next few weeks!  ......

That's not Vauxhall's Trade Club prices.
Rear shockers are as said about £80 each.
Front wish bones haven't been on Trade Club for a few years now.  :-?

im not really clued up on this Trade Club stuff. ive heard that ABS suply you with a sort of trade card. whats the deal with Vauxhall Trade Club?
