Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Installation of ccrt700

Hi

Seriously considering buying Loo-Knees Bose system he has for sale.
My question is how easy would it be to install in my car. With mine being the GLS model i was wondering if i have all the relevant wiring in place etc. how easy is it to replace the display etc. Mine is a mini facelift same as what it has come from but with mine being the bottom of the range model not sure everything is there that i need. Also whilst i am at it i am also thinking about having his parcel shelf with blind too, again how simple is this to fit??

many thanks

Steve

Omega General Help / EML On at 4500rpm
« on: 05 July 2009, 09:28:57 »
Hi

Got a strange thing at the moment with my car. The EML will come on but only if i hold the revs at about 4500, this happens in all gears and will stay on until i drop the revs. I guess i dont see it very often as my speed doesn't stay that constant. Done a paperclip test and it shows nothing.
Any ideas what this might be, i am kinda fearful of increasing the speed/revs to see if it will clear as i go faster as well.

thanks
Steve

Omega General Help / Re: Just changed my HBV
« on: 30 June 2009, 11:18:33 »
Double checked again this morning that i fitted everything ok and that i did not accidently pull any other pipes off and all looks ok. Also the HBV seems to be dry, cant see where the water is coming from only that it has a steady pouring out on the ground when the air con is on cold.
Confused  :-[

Omega General Help / Just changed my HBV
« on: 29 June 2009, 15:03:07 »
Hi

Had a problem where is was loosing water when i did not have the heating swithed on. Mark DTM had a look and advised me that it was the HBV that was broken. Finally got round to changing it today. However my problem still seems to exist. It no longer loses water when i dont have any of the blowers on but still is losing a considerable amount when i have it switched to cold air and cold air with air con on.
My question is, have i made a mistake when fitting this thing or maybe dislodged another pipe etc or is it a case of there being something else wrong besides the HBV.

Many thanks
Steve

Car is stuck in the office car park on Daleside Road opposite Virgin. Me though i live in Hucknall.

Will see if i can pick up belt this afternoon then. Could i possibly purchase the tensioner off you??

Any chance of helping me out fitting it, or somebody with some good notes on how to do it as i cant seem to find anything on the site.

thanks
Steve

i know and by being tight its now going to end up costing me loads more. Just looked at the price for tensioner and belt kit and its not a cheap thing. But your right it is that one that has been smashed to pieces.

Will keep on looking for a cheaper alternative to the kits i find.

cheers

Omega General Help / Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi

Was driving up the M1 from Leicester and my fan belt has snapped, due to i think a tensioner that has buggered. Manage after to much messing around to get the car towed back to my office in Nottingham.
Is there anybody out there that would be able to help me fit and new fan belt and tensioners or is it something that is easy enough to do. I am limited as far as getting parts are concerned as i now have no transport.
Other than the obvious damage i can see is there any unseen problems that this breaking might have caused.
I am happy to recieve and advice or help that is offered. Thanks for taking the time to read

cheers
Steve

Omega General Help / Re: Any quick tips??
« on: 14 April 2009, 10:37:43 »
Tried again late yesterday, still not managed to get them off no matter how hard i try, used shed loads of wd40 and although i manged to loosen the clips of 2 of them the bloody pipes would not budge. In my frustration whilst stomping around i stood on my scuttle thingy and snapped a corner of it  >:(. With a bit of luck i can get those 2 off but how i the hell i can get the one from the passenger side off beats me. I am ok to go disconnecting other pipes etc in that area so i can get better access as long as i remember where they go?
Shall wait until the skin has grown back on my knuckles until i try again.  :(

thanks
Steve
