help!! which locking tool  is best to use to lock crankshaft up. i got hold of the laser 3302 set but when i connected it up crankshaft timing mark and mark on oil sump housing they were not in line with each other.if i moved crank so that tool locked the marks were about 2 to 3 mm out.can you shim out the gap or can you put the belt on and tension it all up without using the locking tool. was looking  at the sealey vs130 but a bit pricey at £200

 hi all, can anyone tell me can any 30mm offset ring spanner be used on tensioner or does it have to be specialist one llike the sealey vs 1301?

 hi all, my name is steve. 1st post ever, even though joined OOF in 2008. bit of a techno dinosaur.owned a few omegas. great cars. currently drive mv6 and am bringing my 2.5 elite back to life after sitting idle for 3 years so i'm going to need to use this site a lot.
