Oil companies spend millions of pounds every year designing various grades of oil for various engines.
Diesel oil is designed for diesel engines, and the same goes for petrol.
Yes you can use oil designed for diesel engines in your petrol lump if you so desire, but don't be surprised when you get shafted with a big repair bill after a very short period of time.
Have you taken the top cover off and taken out the torx bolt?
you can use an 8mm nut to get the 4 torx bolts off the front of the pleunum, if you cant get to them loosen the pleunum and lift it, they are not very tight.
try dissconnecting battery and reconnect again after a few secs and see if it will manuallly unlock,mine did this a few years ago,mine locked me out and sun roof opened,could not open doors with key as it was dead locked,when connected battery it let me open dorrs again with no dead lock on must have reset doors,but don't forget to reset windows and roof
but the door still doesn't tried to pull up the knob but still no luck. just tried the key fob on position 2 and no joy, looks like the solinod thing is i cant get the door open to change it might sound strange this but is the speaker working on the offending door ?.
from what you say ........ door is dead locked / windows inop. ( both these are on totally differant electric circuits )
all the above go though a multi pin plug that conects the electrics to the door loom.
pull up the carpet / remove the plastic trim around the "b" pillar. ( thats the one with the front seatbelt in ) and see if you can find the loom that goes through to the door and trace it back through the car
it sounds to me that its a electrical problem and all the elecrics for that door goes through that loom / plug
if everything failed at one then it has to be a place where all the circuits meet
