I have a 98 2.5V6 which has done 93000 but for some time I have noticed that it seems to get very hot even after a short run.  Sometimes there is steam (not too much but it's a little unnerving - at least it's not smoke as far as I can tell) coming from under the bonnet, driver's side.  At no time does the temperature gauge indicate something amiss.  Any ideas?

Just joined.  I have a Reflection 2.5V6 1998 which I've owned for the last eight years without too much trouble.  It has 87000 miles on the clock.  Things are starting to go wrong e.g. small water leak from a head gasket.  Just wondered what other members' experiences are.  I love the car and hate the idea of having to let it go.
