Omega General Help / Re: interior noise.. sounds like whining fan?

I have the same problem with mine.  (Also posted in this forum "Heater Fan keeps blowing 30A fuse)  In my case, it turned out to be the blower motor behind the glove box/air bag/huge cable bundle/duct work.  I ignored the problem because it was intermittent.  Now my fuse keeps blowing and I'm still trying to figure out why.  I did buy a used motor/fan from ebay for 15 pounds - what a pain in the a$$ to put that one in.  The squeeling/grinding stopped but the fuse still keeps blowing.

1. It's climate controlled.  I'd have to check on the scuttle drain (I don't know what that is).  Didn't check the voltage regulator but I recently ruined a 2-month old battery due to a seized AC compressor.  Tech said that the plates on the battery got affected due to the heavy load added by the seized compressor??? Can't even get the car started - couldn't crank the engine because the AC compressor was keeping everything too tight.  Had to change to a shorter belt to leave out the compressor.  Was going to save it as a summer project.

Really appreciate everyone's comments...  THANKS!!!

Omega General Help / Heater Fan keeps popping 30A fuse
« on: 09 January 2009, 09:30:39 »
Hello, All.  Fuse #33 (30A) keeps popping a few minutes after I turn on the heater.  Fan motor was making kind of a squeeling/grinding sound before fuse blew.  Picked up a used fan motor from ebay and replaced the old one.  No more squeeling but fuse still keeps popping!

Any ideas???
