none taken m8. I have found a bloke with 1 but it has the isuzu software on instead, he know im a vauxhall fan and and hoping to borrow it, or even buy it just to compare the units. The guy who programs the software says it is possible to do everything that the tech2 can,but needs to add it to the software, and as you can imagine thats alot.
on many of the updates what people have requested have been added.

Good luck with the saving up, as i too have been saving for a long time for tech2.

yeah i cant get paypal to work in pounds sterling..might remove it to about confusion..
£235 does seem alot, but its retail is actually £300, and thats without cables.. Believe me i have spend hundreds on software/hardware to communicate with vauxhalls, and to be honest this has payed for itself already, amazing how many people want airbags resetting, keys programming, engine lights on, and people who have ordered different dashes and require there mileage correcting to suit that old dash so that all mots still corrispond etc.

iggy21uk the package was in Paris last night, and now its in manchester. You never know you may have it for the weekend :)

Hello lads. I have joined omegaowners to offer any advice i can give on opelscan. Sadly i am not an omega owner myself yet, but do have 2 vectras, an SRI140 and the GSI. But wish to get the lovely cdx or the elite next.
Unlike all the other people selling stuff on the internet i am not a company/business. i only do this as a hobby and like you lot i bet ive spent the same as yourselves in crappy diagnostic tools that dont work, or have very limited functions, like the crappy tech2 interface from ebay, or ELM interfaces, aldl, tachopros, vag cables etc.But slowly i have got rid most of them.
Opelscan is completly differnt. Have a good look at the screenshots and youll see for yourself. I have ordered 7 for the lads on VVOC and i will post there testimonials onto the website.

Making code scanners require a certain level of skill.

Considering that www.opelscan.com have a picture of a 6-series BMW on the front page, are you confident that they know what they are talking about...?  ;D

Yes i do know its a BMW, but to be honest, i know jack s**t about web design, so i used a template to get me up and running quickly. Maybe if you are good at it you would be so kind to offer your services and change it for me. Obviously i will pay you for your troubles.

I use this myself on a crappy, nothing special laptop. but it does use a serial connection. The Opelscan team i believe are working on an interface that supports CAN and will be usb.

The support that you get from the manufacteur is good. If it doesnt do what you like, it will usually be added to the next software release.
It does far more than just read and reset codes. it can download the eeprom data from various ecus, and shortly should be able to enable cruise control, but 1st i need to find out what models it needs to be on, as some have it enabled already, like my vectra.

Currently i have lent my unit out to somebody that has ordered a new 1, so when i get that 1 back anybody that was to come round and have a look, then feel free.

Great site by the way. Cannot believe the infomation you guys have got even though the site hasnt been up long.
Great idea with the Tech2 at bargin prices for the boys and also great DVD, i hopefully will be ordering 1 of these myself shortly to aid in me doing my GSI cambelt. :) well done.

speak soon,
chris
