No, it won`t work. The CAN signals for the ignition supply are not present in the Omega, meaning that even if you can power the stereo up, it may shut down every 60 minutes or so, and I think the correct CAN speed pulse signal is also missing, which would make a Navigation system completely pointless.

 

I think you said it wouldn't work plus if we all had that way of thinking we would never try new things out and to call the CD70 bog standard is a bit harsh tbh its a better upgrade than the standard omega units and cavalier IMHO it may take a hell of a lot to wire in and yes you will need some modules from a vectra c but if you want to be different its a start  8-)

It is possible to fit A CD70 into a non canbus car because ive seen it , Its a lot of work but not as previous members have said impossible

Car in question was a cavalier  Everything worked apart from some BC functions

My friend in denmark had same problem his NCDC was stuck at a certain address,in the end a new GPS module (gyro unit) sorted it
I think i have a spare one on an old machine but will have to look

Ones in Denmark these are his pictures he has checked the co-ordinates with his tom tom and there correct but the navi screen doesn't show him in that position,the other one is south east area i think

That didn't solve it been told they receive 6 satellites on green
Its shows red when 3 satellites or less
it shows yellow when 4-5 satellites

One of them put in there home address and it started taking them in the wrong direction

One member has it showing about 14 miles out the other a few miles out both have up to date disc's

Hi guys a couple of our members on vec c have a problem with there NCDC's basically its not showing them where there meant to be on the sat nav.
If they go into test mode it shows their position correctly but in navi mode it doesn't any idea ?

GPS Signal is green btw

CDRs knacker the laser.  Parts are virtually impossible to get now.

CD70 uses different laser. CD70 cannot be fitted to Omega (believe me, I've tried)

Pm me mate if you can fit it into a vectra b i'm sure you can in an omega
