Thanks but do really need a conventional type as it's something I promised that I would source for someone... I was sure that would be floating around on ebay but haven't seen anything as yet!
As above, I require an owner's manual/handbook for a facelift Elite saloon, would also be interested to buy a complete book pack with wallet, if you can help please get in touch, Thanks Lee
Thx:) Plus point is that I have all the parts and the headunit is already in, front Bose speakers went straight in... I supppose what I was getting at was is the rest of the conversion something I could do myself or should it be left to someone who has done this job before?
What work is involved to swap out a Bose audio rear shelf from an Omega Elite into a Omega with no Bose? I am breaking the Elite so I have all the parts I need... Thx Lee
Best method is to hear the sensors ticking, so do it in the evening when it's nice and quiet...
Once you've found the sensor that doesn't tick remove it and and swap it over with another one that is working, that will help confirm whether you have a sensor fault or a wiring fault...
Yes the ticking / pulsing is completely normal, if you put the car in reverse with just the ignition on have a listen, any sensor that isn't ticking / pulsing will be the one at fault. If they are all ticking / pulsing then you have a wiring fault somewhere else.
I do this test on all sorts of cars, and so far has always helped me find the faulty sensor.
Thankfully the loom was all ok, was just blown bulbs:)!! now just have to leave the stereo on for half an hour as it's in safe mode and down to 7 attempts.
OK, had another look and the top part of the TID display does not display anything at all, the bottom part shows 2 symbols; 1 being a headlight symbol and the other being a caution symbol, they both turn off afer a few seconds when the ignition is turned on.
