Omega General Help / DASHBOARD LIGHTS - REALLY WEIRD!
« on: 24 May 2009, 11:47:04 »
Guys - I am having a problem with dashboad lights as follows: Turn on ignition and internal dash lights come on as normal (displaying, fuel consumption. temperature etc). Go to turn on sidelights or main lights of car and dash lights all go out! Side lights and main lights go on as normal. Can't figure this out as why should dash lights go out when I put on external lights?
Anyone have any ideas.
Thanks Larry

Thanks people - if it is the cam cover gaskets is this a simple/inexpensive replacement or something major?
I have been told that the engine needs to be removed to do this sort of work!!!!!

Omega General Help / 2.5 OMEGA OIL LEAK
« on: 18 May 2009, 09:18:05 »
Hi - car has recently developed an 'irritating' oil leak (block paving driveway). This seems to occur when the car is standing overnight in the driveway. runs perfectly, never had the oil warning light go on so, not losing oil of any consequence - also not loosing water as far as I can tell. Anyone know what is likely to be causing the oil leak and whether this is a big job to fix?
Not a mechanic in any way so unlikely to be able to fix myself.
Regards, Larry
