Its an ex police car and done about 40k since. Thoughts on repair cost and current driveability please????

 
Magic grey metalic & blue grey velour with wood effect console
157338miles
MOT September
fully loaded, just about everything except leather
Stack CD changer
Climate control
Heated electric seats
Cruise control
Alloy wheels
Factory alarm
Dunlop SP3000 only done 1000miles on front so 7mm
Michelin rear & spare 3mm
Original paint - very few blemishes - some surface rust on both rear doors by window seal & same on tailgate
Cloth trim & carpets pretty good throughout
Drives smoothly & runs exceptionally well for age
 
Areas to consider needing attention
 
Offside rear side window in door shattered (Mowing accident two weeks ago!!) Can be seen in photo.
Sunroof closed but can sometimes be reluctant to do so.
Drivers door check strap loose
Coolant leak from possibly heater matrix not yet confirmed, but does need sorting.

I am in leeds, i have seen a car that i am fairly sure i will get, 3.0 v6 elite, needs regassing though so i wanted to see how much it was, seems reasonable

How easy is it to re gass the aircon on a 97 elite? is it a diy or a garage job and how much is it likely to cost?
