If you can get your hand on some PHOSPHORIC ACID treat the affected areas, should remove any chemicals on metal ... if doing this ensure once the acid is rinsed and dry dont touch it  ... Also with spraying 2 pack outside you might want to look into flash thinners ... they evaporate quicker than standard thinners... good luck mate  :y :y

if your tc was "goosed"you would be going nowhere.

I would have taken the opportunity to change the fluid and clean/replace the filter before fitting the box that way you could have checked the thrust washer wasn't in bits before fitting the box ::)

Never thought of that  :-[ :-[

got new gaskets so will give it a oil change and check :y

was starting to think torque conv. was goosed !!!

Omega General Help / New box ... New problem
« on: 14 August 2009, 10:25:22 »
Well finally got around to fitting my £20 2nd hand auto box ... runs ok , only thing is the gear change from 1-2 is a bit rough and when accelarating from lower speed e.g. at junction , r/abouts etc , seems to over rev before catching a gear ... any ideas , could replacing solenoids make a difference ???? Thanks in advance ... Ali
