Hi all, my fan is being a bit hit and miss. When I start sometimes it works and and then other times no fan at all, put it to full and nothing. If you put the cooling on low the fan should kick in but it doesn't! Any ideas?

Just checked nope, and no lights on the dash. Im going to disconnect the battery and see if that resets it. Im a member of the AA so I can call them out and see if they can see the fault in there kit. keep you posted.

Hi all, my 3.2 won't start again, not long since I replaced the crank sensor. It's now come up with the code P1792 ECM communication malfunction. Any ideas? Thanks 😊

Hi,

Checked the plugs, ok, the wire to the knock sensor had a break in it, cut and soldered and fitted heat shrink to protect the wire. Cleared the code and now it is fine. By the way where is the knock sensor and how do you get to it?

Hi all

My spanner light is on, 3.2 V6 , code reader says no fault code. Peddle test 10 3 3 10. Cleared the code but comes straight back. Any ideas?

Hi, thank you for your comments, I did fit new o rings and cleaned out the breather, torqued the bolts so maybe not enough silicone in the right places. I will have another attempt in the new year as the oil leaking is not excessive at the moment. Cheers

Omega General Help / Cam covers leaking

Hi all, I fitted new gaskets about 2 yrs ago on my 3.2 cam covers and they are still leaking. The gasket was applied with black silicone, on the bed and behind the gasket, left for 24hrs before running the car to allow the silicone to go off. I need to re-do the gaskets as oil is getting onto the coil pack and around the spark plugs (I have just changed the spark plugs, coil packs ok and cleaned out). I know that the plastic covers are not great but don't want the expense of changing to ally ones. Any ideas? Thanks

 Fan removed, found a mushed up card in the fan, dont know how it got in there Now I just need to put everything back

Air-con working fine so nothing open I can feel the vibration if I put my hand on the fan motor. Glove box already out.

Hi, I just put my Omega in for an MOT, which it passed They turned off the heater fan for the MOT, when I switched it back on to drive home there was  a big vibration which sounded like I had plane inside! I do not seem to have any play on the fan so something else is vibrating. Any ideas?

Hi, thanks for all your comments, yes I am trying to source to the front brake disc shields. I'm the process of taking it all apart, the  nearside has some of the original left so hopefully I will be able to find something similar

Hi, on my 3.2 I keep getting a warning light o2 bank 2 sensor 1. Where is it on the exhaust? I clear it and it comes back on when crusing at about 40mph.
