Omega General Help / Re: First gas - some issues
« on: 28 August 2013, 01:42:14 »
First time on site this year due to illness but looking at your problem you do need cable from laptop to gas ECU diagnostic plug also software from tinleytech co.uk , there is a free catalogue explaining how to fit also set up installationof software and there is the Bigas site .  Ihave fitted Bigas Sequential Injection on 3 cars4 cylinder but 6 cylinder are no different.
On the software there is self calibration which must be done to set up gas ECU :- ( briefly your foot is held on the accelerator at a certain revs and kept there till the software says done , this process is started on petrol and when done switches to gas and stays on gas )  any mistakes on keeping the revs steady you just have to re-calibrate again.   Save configuration when happy this is on the software, but remember you have to set finer settings explained in catalogue . All this is done with engine warm hope this helps if this is a Bigas system cable and software can be bought as a package around £30  ;)

Looks like gas valve is next to vaporizer,  vaporizer should be the same temp as the engine the water from engine to heater( normally the heater valve it self ) there should be a tee piece one pipe to heater valve the other to vaporizer, also the same with the return pipe from heater:  if running engine for a short time vaporizer should get warm on a short run should be quite hot running on gas or not, nice cluster of wires and pipes ;D hope this helps :y

Also check gas valve as this has a short pipe going into the vaporizer and another coming out of the vaporizer to the filter, a loose connection on valve or faulty valve switching on and off, your system looks if it has only 1 gas valve which would normally be under the bonnet close to the vaporizer, did not see vaporizer in picture hope this helps

After replacing cam kit, water pump, auxiliary belt and various other things, there is a squeak around the front pulley area when rev up goes only on tick over also after 5min or more just audible, can only think of alternator or air con pulley maybe air pump one way valve the list goes on could ignore as i can not hear it sat in car, is this just a wearing in process  :(
